The Experience

Hello worldpackers! We are Maria Grazia, Mario (59) and Cecilia (27) we have a small agricultural business that is also a restaurant on weekends. Our ancient house is quite big and often needs some maintenance and cleaning, and we struggle to do it all alone! You might work in the garden, clean the agritourism areas, do some ironing, paint and other cool seasonal task. Everything here is around food, and we love to share it with internationals!

A beautiful experience! Thanks so much to Maria Grazia, Mario, Ceci, and Lucia for welcoming me into their home. It was so fun and interesting working on all parts of the farm/restaurant, from harvesting to food prep to helping with the restaurant. The local area is breathtaking and learning about the history and culture of Piedmont from Ceci and Mario was one of my favorite parts of the stay! Oh and the food:):) deeelicous! Thanks so much and hope to be back one day!

The hard work, strength, and dedication of Cecilia are admirable; the great conversation with Maria is fully enjoyable, and her kindness and openness let me feel at home. Mario’s passion for cooking and fungi is thrilling. In this experience, I learned about agriculture, food transformation, and Italian culinary surrounded by beautiful nature and animals. I also ate delicious meals harvesting the everyday food or learning about Piemonte’s traditions. I enjoyed fieldwork, cleaning, and cooking while talking and getting to know everyone. This small family-run project is truly inspiring!

At 33, I can say that this was one of the most meaningful and unforgettable experiences of my life, surrounded by some of the most special and authentic people I've ever met. From the very first moment, Maria Grazia and her beautiful family did everything they could to make me feel welcomed and respected as if I were part of the family. :)

Maria, Mario, Cecilia, Lucia and Rolo (the coolest dog on Earth): I still have no words to express how grateful I am. My heart is full and I truly believe that meeting you helped me to become a better person. Thanks for everything.
