The Experience

We have a large Georgian house with an interesting, beautiful and very overgrown grounds made up of a Victorian water garden, woods, large lake and meadow. We need help in trying to restore these gardens to how they would have looked in Georgian times - 1820s. Also if you're interested we will be doing some lime painting and how it helps these old houses survive. Any questions please ask.

My experience at the home was incredible. Natasha and Quentin were fantastic hosts - kind and welcoming, made sure I had everything I needed, cooked delicious meals, and were very helpful recommending things to do in the area. The house was fantastic and I was very comfortable in my space. Beautiful surroundings for walks and bike rides, and lovely coastal towns to visit on days off/afternoons. Work was straightforward and explained well, agreed hours were always kept to. For my first Worldpackers experience I couldn't have been more lucky. Thank you both!!!

The various work made fun and i could use my free time for exploring the surroundings and the villages by bike that i could use from them. Three weeks was perfect for me to improve my english, learn new things from Natasha and Quentin and enjoy the quite and peacefuel time. Thank you! It was just what i needed

Staying at the home was in increíble experience! Quentin and Natasha were kind, welcoming and thoughtful from the very beginning. I learned about conservation, practiced English, enjoyed the countryside life, and discovered a bit more about the Welsh culture. The house, the nature that surrounds it and the peace of the place made it even more special. It was the perfect mix of learning, connection and adventure! Thank you Natasha and Quentin for opening your doors and made me part of your beautiful project!

I had a great experience at the home! Natasha and Quentin were very welcoming and lovely hosts. They were clear in their expectations with work and hours from the get go and always available if you had any questions. I had a great variety in work over the two weeks I was there. On days off they were kind enough to provide advice on what to see and do in the area, as well as give me rides to and from the bus stops. All the meals provided were delicious also. Highly recommend this worldpacker experience to anyone keen on some active work and wanting to explore south-west Wales!

My experience at the home truly could not have been any better. Natasha and Quentin are incredibly warm and welcoming - by the end you will feel like a natural part of their home. Natasha makes wonderful food and always makes sure you are fed and have everything you could need. The work was physical but fun and felt great to get in touch with nature. A lot of it is spent alone which I loved as it gave a lot of time for introspection. You also have lots of time off to explore, read, sunbathe, cycle, swim - be prepared to travel for a bit by foot or bicycle to get anywhere!
