I enjoyed my time at the hostel. I worked and lived at the Sunset Hostel but spent most of my free time at the hostel with other volunteers. The shifts were a mix of 4-hour and 8-hour shifts. The breakfast shifts were manageable, but the bed shifts could be overwhelming at times, as you were expected to make anywhere from 10-30 beds. However, there was still plenty of time to explore the city. Some of the staff were friendly, while others were not. Ultimately, the highlight of my experience was the cool people I met, including both volunteers and guests, and the memories I made.

I had such an amazing time at the hostel. From day one, everyone made me feel really welcome and comfortable. The vibe was great, full of positive energy and all the people I met were truly lovely. I felt supported and part of the team right away. The working hours were well organized, which gave me plenty of free time to explore the city, relax, and really enjoy Lisbon. Thank you to the whole team for creating such a great place and for making this experience so special!

Overall I enjoyed my experience here. The shifts can be a lot of work and they are very detailed oriented. They are not very flexible when it comes to the work, they also made me work an 8 hour shift on New Year's Eve during their party. However in return having 3 days off per week is very nice and gives you plenty of time to explore. The hostel is pretty social and there are a lot of other volunteers to hangout with.

Even though I never found out who the host was until the day I left, staying at this large, well-located hostel was a blast. The massive common areas made it easy to join activities with other travelers and meet tons of people from everywhere. It was pure fun connecting with such diverse folks in a safe, lively spot. I highly recommend this exchange to anyone craving social vibes and great times with fellow adventurers :)

I enjoyed my time at Sunset the hostel. The work was clear and exactly as described. I found the party vibes manageable as a non-drinker because it was a quiet time of year. A special thank you to the managers, Sonia and Margarita. the receptionists, Fred, Pedro, Albano were excellent to work alongside. The nighttime receptionists that I met upon occasion were lovely. Housekeeping are very friendly and supportive. I felt I received a lot of positive feedback. The maintenance crew were also helpful and welcoming. The location is ideal for living as a local or as a tourist!
