I had a wonderful time in the hostel. I volunteer at the bar, where i met so many travelers. It was great to meet different cultures and exchange tips about bolivia. Then i move to the kitchen, where i had deep talks with the locals. Traveling is all about people and that is whats i had in the hostel. Un fuerte abrazo para Paula, Noe, Juan, Ana, Gus, Nicole, Aleida, Ever, Pablo y todas las personas que he conocido! Muchas gracias!!

Personally I think a volunteering experience should be fun or rewarding, this was more just doing all the jobs the staff didn't want to do and not getting much in return. The breakfast was a cup of yogurt drink. The “bar work” was just washing plates. The kitchen work your clothes get filthy and they won't even give you free laundry. I got given a towel at checkin and the next day the cleaning lady said I'm not allowed it and took it. The good thing is there is a hot shower in the room. I left early and luckily I did because the other volunteers belongings got stolen.

This was my first time volunteering at a hostel and I had a really great time! The team here was very friendly and accommodating especially when I had a stomach bug. They were flexible with scheduling and really took the time to share aspects of Bolivian culture with me. Also it was a great opportunity to practice my Spanish and to get help along the way! 100% would recommend volunteering here!

We came to South America for the 1st time and also it was our 1st volunteering experience! Everything was as described by host: the tasks, the working time, accommodation, breakfast. The shifts were divided into 3 areas: Bar, Kitchen and housekeeping, morning and evening shifts, which lasted 6,5 hours. Accommodation is the shared dorm with a four bunk beds (max. 8 people in the room). Manager, other workers and volunteers were very nice and interesting people! During our stay we both suffered by altitude illness, diarrhea, fever but the host let us rest without no problem! Thank you all! :)

We arrived excited and keen to work at the hostel bar, kitchen and to do some cleaning. What we didn't realise was that we were just going to be waitresses for the bar and kitchen. We did help with some cleaning tasks but at times I really felt that we were not needed and we were quite bored. We ended up working here only for a week. Maggie one of the managers was extremely understanding when we asked to leave a week earlier. A national Coup was declared, so maybe that's why it was so quiet. Breakfast was decent with 2 pieces of bread, jam and butter and a piece of fruit.
