The Experience

We have a beautiful old building in the centre of town that needs to be restored back to its former glory. It is still operating , and has a lovely bohemian atmosphere. Also a big part of your job is to join in on hostel activities & interact with other guests, making them feel welcome and showing them a fun time. We usually have a few volunteers at any one time to form a lovely community.

This was a great volunteering experience overall. The hostel has a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, and the work is quite chill. Tasks are well organized: the boys usually handle activities outside the hostel, while the girls take care of tasks inside. In the common space, we played cards, smash ball, pool, watched a few movies, and did activities together, which was very nice to meet and get to know everyone. Highly recommended.

This was the best volunteering experience I've had so far. The hostel has a very chill atmosphere, the people are friendly and welcoming, and the work is not hard. the hostelis big, with a beautiful garden and a spacious common area that we really enjoyed spending time in. Because we applied as a couple, we stayed in a private space, which gave us privacy and made our stay more comfortable. The location is great: the beach is about a 10min walk away, and most places are easily walkable. Kerrie and Nathan are very polite and respectful hosts, and we got along well with the team. Super recommend

I really enjoyed my stay in this hostel. Kerrie and Nathan were so easygoing and super nice. The hostel has a very chill and beachy vibe. It has the perfect spot located in the city and next to the beach. Also they have really super nice dogs especially Indy which I could take on walks if I wanted. The volunteers were all amazing and after a time we became friends and even like a little Family. The work was not hard and a really nice exchange. Overall I would definitely recommend it. :)

It was a great experience, highly recommended! I felt welcomed from the day I got there by all the other volunteers and had a great time getting to know all of them. The work was simple and allowed for lots of free time during the day and the hosts were great. Such a good workaway experience!
