Debbie was an amazing host. She was super welcoming and fun, we had lots of great chats and laughs. The work was abit different to the profile tho. There is no kitchen work and the gardening is more weeding than anything else (the time of year also effected this). The hotel isn't open anymore so we were on the property by ourselves most of the time which was super relaxing. Totally recommend for people who loves the outdoors or love to read in peace in their time off!

Debbie and Dan were such wonderful hosts, very welcoming and friendly. They looked after us well. The property is lovely, quiet and peaceful and the gardening work, very satisfying. The accommodation and meals are great. On days off we were able to go to local towns and practice French with the locals. This was a really great first experience with world packers and I would definitely recommend this exchange to others who would like a chance to stay in the tranquil countryside with stunning views and walks and take part in gardening work whilst practicing sustainable eating and living.

We had a great time! Despite the location of the house being a bit isolated, it is a perfect place to connect with nature! We learned a lot about gardening and farming as the chores were diverse and we were never bored or tired of doing the same things. Deb and Dan were great in every aspect and helped us with everything we needed. They took time out of their schedule to pick us up and drop us at the nearest train station (30min away) and Deb even took us out to a little party in the nearest town and cooked some delicious the home food for us. It was an amazing experience and we recommend it!

I had sooooo much fun in Ticheville!! It was my first volunteering experience and it was undoubtedly a memorable one. I loved staying in the countryside, life is so much more relaxing, and lots of things to do, lovely walks, animals everywhere, the lovely priscilla (best cat to exist), a lot of cooking and experiencing the home cuisine, a nice way to do new recipes and have fun trying new things! Debbie looked after us extremely well, she introduced us to life in France and taught us about gardening. I honestly couldn't be happier for having experienced this :)

We had a lovely time in Ticheville. We spent a month there, had a house to ourselves with the best cat in the world! The jobs were engaging and rewarding, with lots of variety. Debbie our host was fantastic, she picked us and dropped us to the train station, showed us around the area on day trips, and was always attentive. Being in nature is something I adore and I couldn't have asked for more. I would happily go back again :)
