The tasks are exactly as described, the shifts are manageable, and the work is not difficult. The team makes all the difference. Catarine is very kind and helpful, and Sara, the receptionist, is a lovely person. There are only two volunteers, so we decide on our days off together and divide the work as we like. The hostel is small and very homey, and it's very well located, less than 10 minutes from the city center. Bologna is an incredible city with many cultural events and things to do during the volunteering period. I would recommend for sure

My time in Bologna was truly special. the hostel felt like a home away from home. I enjoyed working with Caterina and getting to try her delicious pasta recipes. I loved working with Sara the receptionist and the other volunteers! I fell in love with the food and locals in Bologna. The tasks at the hostel are exactly those written on worldpackers and they are very easy to do. The vibe at the hostel was very welcoming and warm. I got to meet so many amazing people from around the world which made it an unforgettable experience.

The daily tasks are quite easy, you have a lot of peace to do them, the place is cosy, you will feel at home, after the morning shift you have the time to do your things, go for a walk or even take a nap and the afternoon shift is quite chill, you can interact a lot with the guests! It's a hostel where you feel like family, I made very good friends, with the volunteers with whom I shared I took many beautiful memories, Caterina is a quality person, I am very grateful for her attention and support, Sara is very special, we had fun and ate a lot! In general an experience that I recommend 100%.

Working at the hostel was an amazing experience. I felt at home after just a few days and five weeks felt like one. Every single day you meet 10+ new and interesting people that you won't forget . And share memories with them. The work itself is reasonable and not too hard with the evening shift being very easy at the reception and the morning shift being not too bad. Thank you to Caterina and Emma for welcoming me from the beginning to the end and thank you to Irene and Cecilia for helping me and teaching me the ways.

It's my first exp, the team was lovely and cooperative, they made me feel at home. and it was amazing! I had to shorten 3 days of my staying for personal reasons, when I's there we chatted and cooked together, I felt safe and respected all the time. It was only me and one other volunteer, so we managed the schedule and days off by ourselfs. The morning shift is more intense than the afternoon. The hostel is cozy and quiet, located in a cool city, Bologna has a lot of students from college. You can do most of the things walking and many facilities nearby.

It was my first time volunteering and I had an absolutely wonderful experience! The hostel is very nice and cozy. Caterina is super welcoming, and she is always available if you need something. The tasks are exactly those that are written on worldpackers and they are very easy to do. You can also talk and connect with international guests. The only thing that I would point out is that the hours per week are not 25 but, in reality, they are 35, because during the days off of the other volunteer you have to make both shifts, and I think that this should be clarified on worldpackers.

thank you for your feedback! I realized that the hours, even if never super intense are normally close to 30-32 hours and I have updated this information on our description.
Anyway I am glad that you enjoyed it!!

What to say? One of the best hostel I've ever been (not only volunteering). The facility is amazing, cozy, spacious, completely equiped and super clean. It's impossible not to feel at home there. The place is well located, so you get to know Bologna quite well. When it comes to the shifts, they're flexible, fair and the tasks are easy to do. By being a small hostel, it allows you to enjoy and interact with guests, which is so nice. Caterina excells in the communication, it's really outstanding. Pure heart and light energy. I highly recommend this place!

Volunteering at the hostel was truly an amazing experience! Caterina and the other volunteer were so kind and welcoming, they really made me feel at home. The hostel itself has a really nice atmosphere, and even though it's a bit more quiet, it's still easy to talk to people. The hours are really fair, it's mostly one shift per day (either in the morning or in the afternoon) and the other volunteer does the other one. It's all very flexible and you can take free days as well. Even though I unfortunately had to leave earlier than planned, I enjoyed my stay a lot and hope to be back some day!
