It was my first time doing a volunteer and I couldn't have asked for a better place. the guest house it's a lovely château, the tasks are simple like changing the sheets of a bed, making breakfast and cleaning. The work of the day depends on the people who are coming to the hotel, so there are times which you are completely free for the whole day. Bjarne and Suzette are the best people ever, if you do not understand anything they take their time to explain it to you. Christine and Tony were amazing as well, they are mostly around the guest house. Thanks for everything!!!

The experience at the guest house is amazing. You can learn a lot about managing and cleaning a guest house, have time for yourself and get to know Brive and other towns near by. Suzzete and Bjarne are excellent hosts that help you with everything and give you a sense of home at the guest house, even do they're not there most of the time. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to learn a little more about themselves, make personal projects and learn about managing guests houses. Thanks and for you, WP, hope you have an excellent day ;)

Thank you, Mr. Bjarne, for your hospitality and wonderful company. My stay at the guest house was an incredible and unique experience! Sharing my time at the guest house feels like a duty to the Worldpackers community. On guest days, you prepare breakfast between 7 am and 8 am, start cleaning the rooms after 11 am, and da quick tidy-up. From 3 pm onwards, new guests begin to arrive, and ironing can be done later. During my 37 days, I had guests for only 12! The place is stunning and highly recommended for an authentic the guest house experience!

Bjarne and Suzette are great hosts. I had a good experience, they were always friendly and reachable. No complaints at all. I really like the guest house experience. I had an objective, which was practice my the guest house, and I believe it was reached. I truly recommend the experience. Note for future volunteers: if you're going during winter, you should know that it's more calm, you can take it easy, it's great opportunity to work on something you want to do, that project that you need time, concentration, that'll make you happy. It worked that way for me, and I am very happy with that.

The hosts are good people, but the experience could have been pleasing if the volunteering hours were repectected and if there was a manager to stay with the 2 volunteers, we're in charge of ALL the hoteI tasks. I felt overwelmed most of the time, bc you cant "disconnect" from ur activities on ur free time, its a 24/7 job, i worked much more than 5 hours/day. In terms of communication, i fell that the hosts should have a clear standard on how they want the tasks to be done, i would do things in a way i was taught by one person there and than someone else would say that was not the right way.

June 2024 was a hectic period. Your co-worldpacker was out for a holiday only. With no touch of flair for the hotelier business. So he went off again.
Your stay did not become the best. Out little place requires somehow passionated worldpackers seeing themselfes doing hotelier business.
The hours can become long with a lot of doing nothing in between.
Your skills came Well right, when you teached language with other young couple to take over.
Their your passionated energy showed off.
To the new couple “running” the house, I said when leaving: threat it as your house.” The look in their eyes tells everything”. They are ON.

So Dear worldpacker community; our place is not a standard guesthouse/hotel.
It can give you this lifetime french experience as the most of the worldpackers have had, if you are into it.
