The Experience
We are a large complex, with many activities for the volunteer to collaborate: - Planting of medicinal herbs for “Live Pharmacy” - Project management and administration related to the park as a nursery, an ecovillage, astronomical observatory, camping and trail - Admnistration works - Maintenance and improvement of Pico dos Cabritos ecological trails - Temple cleaning and maintenance

I had a really great time at the Center. The land is absolutely beautiful. Paula takes you on a hike to explain all of the different types of medicinal uses for each plant and shows you all of the land in the mountains. The work is 5 hours a day, 5 days a week and you get to choose your days! She works with you to cater to your likings for your volunteer work. You also get your own room which is great. The supermarket is quite a journey to get to but you will get your workout in for this. I sadly wasn't there when they were doing ceremonies but I have heard they are beautiful.

Paula and Mauricio were fantastic hosts, they were always very accomodating to mine and the other volunteers needs during the stay. I really enjoyed how close the stay was to nature, yet the comfort of the accomodation. Paula was great at showing me around the resort and the park, while also providing insight and knowledge of the sustainability resources that are used to naturally maintain the park, and the plants that can be used to heal the body. Overall it was personally a very beautiful experience for the mind, body, and soul.

I had an incredible time (and first Worldpackers experience) here! Paula was such a lovely host and I really enjoyed spending two weeks here, it was a lovely space and relaxed, just what I was needing after travelling for four months! Paula was very welcoming and let us engage in the activities of the temple too. I would recommend :)

This is an incredible experience and opportunity to learn about shamanism and sustainability while living ecologically in a beautiful small city. The facilities, work and events are great and everybody is very welcoming Definitely recommend!!
