I had a really good time in Cooly. Everyone is super friendly and it's a nice place to get to know new people from all over the world. I totally can recommend this place to everyone who loves surfing and the beach. The only thing is they don't offer free surfboards but you are able to rent one for 5$.

This hostel is a fun environment with lots of things to do. The work is easy and the hours aren't bad. With it being a short distance to the beach and buss stops you can't go wrong. Grocery shops are far away and would need to get public transport, but that is not a can't because of the place where it's situated

Really enjoyed volunteering at the hostel, Ebonie and Erin were really friendly and welcoming. The activity nights run by us and other volunteers were really fun and a good chance to meet more people especially other people travelling like us! The volunteering was fine and they let you choose which days to work if you have plans :)

I overall had a great time at the hostel as this was my first time volunteering and staying in a hostel. I met lots of people both volunteers and guests. I wasn't a fan of the location and since work was in the mornings, it was difficult to get to places to do something after work with a decent amount of time. The hostel itself was very chill and had a family vibe to it. They were very flexible with hours which made it easier to see more of Australia.

Great experience, the hostel is in a great location with convenient buses which run regularly all the way up and down the gold coast. The team were friendly and the hostel was clean and very well equipped

Overall I really enjoyed my time at the hostel. It's a really nice area in the Gold Coast. It's a laid back beach town with great weather, nice cafes, and friendly people. The hostel was smaller, providing a community feel, which made it really easy to meet people. I'd recommend this work exchange!

I highly recommend this experience. Everything was perfect, from the location to the work passing by the people working and staying there! I really can't find any negative points about this experience except leaving it. So if you're looking for a nice place to stay on the Gold Coast for not much work and to have plenty of time to go to the beach, the hostel is the place to be!

I recommend you 100% to go there. You have really a lot of free time, the hostel is good located (close from the beach and bus stop), the place is chill but you're easily in the city. There are a lot of beautiful view in the area. The work is mainly cleaning and housekeeping, so nothing too hard. The hostel is very cool (pool, good kitchen, pig pong,…) and you meet a lot of nice people!

My experience was reeeally great!!!! The hostel has this family environment where, even sharing the room with other 8 volunteers, you feel home. The room is huge! The lovely owners are so sweet and flexible when it comes to changing shifts or any other help the i needed. The hostel is clean, organized and yes, it's a bit far from supermarkets, making us kind of depend on busses or the bike, which during my stay where mostly broken. But that's the vibe in Coolangatta, small city, poor public transportation and beach at the corner. WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND the hostel!!!!
