It's impossible not to fall in love with Aarhus, if you want a true Danish experience and also have fun, this is the right place!! The hostel is in the middle of the town, which helps a lot! They have a nice infrastructure for the volunteers, breakfast/lunch was amazing, and dinner we usually cooked for ourselves. They respect the work hours that were asked in the position, and when the volunteer team was complete it was chill and we still had time to enjoy the hostel. Something I wish they can change to improve even more the experience is more hired personnel in all areas of the hostel.

A very good experience overall. I had to leave earlier and I only stayed for a week, however it was more than enough time for me to say that Monise and the staff, here including the volunteers were really nice and welcoming. There is some work to do (housekeeping and cleaning) although I believe you learn to manage it all in those 5 hours. the hostel is pretty chill and overall I enjoyed this experience.

My experience at the hostel was great! I met so many amazing new people and got to experience a lot of the hostel with my time off. Theres a buffet style breakfast and lunch is prepared for you by the lovely Enio and Michelle. Dinner will either be leftovers or there are basic ingredients to cook with. The work is strict in the sense that you wont finish until the work is done and checked but it isn't too hard when there are plenty of volunteers on shift. I will say, there should definitely be more paid staff (housekeeping) to lighten the load of the volunteers! :) overall, definitely recommend!

Really enjoyed Aarhus and the hostel. 🏩 Everyone was friendly and supportive. The work was not difficult. Quite easy tasks. You can also choose which shift you want to take. There is a lot of free time after work. Thank u! ❤️

Voluntering in the hostel was Amazing , Monise was so clear, flexible and close to us all the time, the breakfast and lunch were great, sometimes the amount of work was more but never overwhelming, the atmosphere was so Calm from the reception area until the guests and volunteers, I already miss that place, coming back for sure!!

My experience at the hostel has been amazing! I met lovely people, smart and funny, I felt like at home, sorrounded by good friends. I loved the environment and the other volunteers, we had a great time together. The tasks are manageable and you can learn a lot. Good organisation and teamwork. Fun fact: I came here to practice danish and I improved my spanish…

The hostel and the hostel of Aarhus are both great places to be in. I felt welcome, comfortable, and safe here. The host is honest about the work and what you get in return, so there are no secrets or surprises. Thank you to all the staff members that were so kind and respectful (special shout-out to the amazing receptionists)! I hope to come back to visit one day!

Very reliable and fun! The receptionist and other workers there were genuinely unique and always invited the volunteers for fun things to do. Not only that but the volunteers I stayed with were like family and couldn't have asked for a better first World Packers experience! The work was relatively easy and Monise was always willing to work with you for changes if needed. Overall had an amazing time and am so thankful to get to meet the entire team there!

For a first experience as a volunteer, I need to say that you succeeded :)

We are grateful for the time you were here, we could delegate a task and trust that it would be done nicely like you did.

WHAT A WONDERFUL PLACE! First of all, the hostel has everything you need to live there, not just as a volunteer, but as a guest! At the hostel, I really felt like home! The hostel is big, but very organized. It's fully equipped and provides really good food for the volunteers. Very well located, in the heart of Aarhus, but a big shout out to the staff, who makes the volunteers time there even better. Everyone works together as a team! The activities and time work are very well respected and the schedule is made with love, because they care about you and they hope you enjoy a lot you free days.
