Wow, what a hostel! the hostel really is such a gem and one of the best hostels I've ever stayed at, and it was so lovely to volunteer here. I think the work hours are very fair and the staff always respected when it was the end of my shift. The shifts are organised very well and shared fairly between all the volunteers. The staff were so helpful and welcoming and fun! Work hardly even felt like work because everybody was so kind and lovely to spend time with. The hostel offers a lot (free breakfast and dinner plus daily activities) which made it super social! All my love and thanks!!

I have been traveling for 3 years now but I have never been a volunteer. I always had an idea. How to be a good person for this type of activity, how to help and communicate with people and Yes I did it for five stars. I was praised by all the staff about the audience and people and tourists everyone liked that I made my efforts. I was really happy about it and lived the life of the hostel. I liked to do all the activities. There you need to be kind, sociable and smart, so I was able to get along with everyone. The work at the reception and the kitchen is not difficult. Even am newbie person.

Staff were lovely and we got on with them well. Tasks were varied as were shift times, meaning you got to try different aspects of running a hostel and got to work with different people each time. I would recommend knowing some Spanish to communicate with cleaning/kitchen staff, however you can definitely get by (as we did) and maybe even learn some along the way :)

We had an amazing time at the hostel. We felt really comfortable, especially because of the very welcoming staff and the other great volunteers. It's a really cool hostel where it's easy to socialize and San Cristóbal is a beautiful city worth staying a while. We would recommend everyone who thinks about volunteering at a hostel, to stay here. :)

I really enjoyed my stay at the hostel, the hostel is beautiful, social, and full of activities and the city has amazing vibes! The tasks and hours are fair and the staff is nice and helpful, althought I would have preferred a warmer welcome - the host never introduced himself to me and the staff seemed a bit distant at first - and in general I felt a vibe of separate levels between staff / volunteers / guests, probably cause the hostel is very big. Anyway I had a lot of fun and extened my stay for an extra week!
