The Experience

You will have some conversational activities with our language students. You don't have to be very professional and a skilled language teacher for this role. It is very flexible and suitable according to your comforts and easy availability. Our students range from pre-intermediate to advance levels. Let's laugh and talk in our classes and share some new vocabulary with language learners. Our students are very keen to learn and practise.

I had a fantastic time living and helping teach at the school! I'm new to teaching, so was pretty nervous, but Mazhar (the real teacher) let me create my own activities and was super flexible and chill. The students were college-aged, and my duty was to help them improve their conversational fluency. During my couple weeks there, I made some great and lasting friendships, and went out with them often to do fun activities (trying local food, driving motorbikes, sneaking into a palace, YT challenges, etc). Thanks so much for this opportunity, I'll never forget it or y'all <3

A good project to spend a few weeks living in a city in the countryside of Pakistan and understanding more about how normal Pakistanis live. Bahawalpur may have a huge population but has the atmosphere of a small city. Students are all in their early 20s, preparing for college, and need to practice their English. Mr Yousef lets you free to do any kind of activity you want with them. House is comfortable, with 24h electric energy, wifi, fans, running (cold) water, a kitchen and a private room. It's located in a residential area, about 40minwalk from the city centre so a bit isolated but calm.

Staying at the school was an unforgettable experience and I highly recommend it. The work activities are simple and fun to partake in. All your meals and accommodation are taken care of and the food is very nice. Plenty of opportunities to meet local people, I met dozens of friends during my time there and also opportunities to meet other travellers. Bahawalpur is a big but quiet city with a lot of great sights to see but there's plenty to do to keep you occupied. Yousaf is a very good host who keeps all his commitments and ensures everyone is made to feel welcome.

It was the best experience of my life. The people are social and welcoming, life is simple and easy, thrilling places to visit and there's a lot to learn. Yousef is really a great person; caring, understanding, open to ideas and treats you more like a friend than the boss. The work is easy and Yousef is there to offer guidance and collaboration whenever necessary. The culture has so much respect for teachers so you will feel important and respected. I am grateful for undertaking this trip and to all the people at the school who made me feel at home.
