Island is beautiful, food is provided, Brenda the manager is amazing and the other volunteers were so friendly. I could not have asked for a better group. The hours in 1 go were long, compared to what I am used to, but the chef-size kitchen, extra shifts/benefits, and staff made it worth it. Some of the guests were lovely. Volunteering here is not for the easily offended. You need to have a thick skin. It's an even exchange and I think if the owner learns to treat vols with more kindness and patience, the experience will be even better. He's a good man, staff deserve kindness & respect too.

Thank you Jan for your assistance from the 10/8 until the 5/9 . I am sorry that we were unable to extend your stay as you requested!. We do respect the agreed hours!. We do facilitate some remote working - however you pushed it over the limit - up at 2.a.m drinking coffee ... We did have an issue this year with some volunteers working a different time zone remotely. This has proved difficult for management. Clear thinking and focus is required for breakfast and sleep is required for this!.

The lodge was a great experience with great people! I'm grateful for the friendships I made with the other volunteers, and especially for the manager Brenda, who is so genuine and supportive. We didn't work with the host himself much, which made communication a little unclear sometimes, but he made sure the experience was as agreed on, with our hours respected and the work straightforward. I really enjoyed the ease of exploring the whole island with the bikes at the lodge, giving me a comfortable balance of work and personal time. Seán and Brenda, thank you for everything!

I had such a great stay at the guest house! I spent 4 weeks in Inis Mór and the island is incredibly beautiful and the locals are super nice, I always had a gorgeous place to visit during my time there! The job is fair, the guests are lovely and all in all it was a really good stay! Thank you Seán for everything :)

I had a lovely time at the guest house! It's the ideal setting for someone who wants peace and quiet, utterly beautiful surroundings, and friendly travellers to interact with. Seán respected the hours and gave reasonable work assignments. As it was the shoulder season on Inismór, we didn't have many guests and so in addition to housekeeping, reception, and breakfast, I worked on some business and administration tasks as well, which I was happy to do. Accommodations are comfortable and food is fresh and plentiful. Big recommend!

I had a great month at the guest house! This was my first Worldpackers and solo traveling experience and I'm very grateful for it! The area was beautiful and safe and peaceful, and I felt very welcomed there. Lots to explore and lots of downtime to see the island and do as you please! The work is straightforward and easy to learn, and I'm very grateful for the time I spent on Inishmore!

Sean was a very kind and accommodating host. He's flexible with volunteers to help them experience what Inis Mor has to offer. The work was as agreed and is straightforward. Sean runs a great bed and breakfast and puts in a lot of work to make it a cozy place for guests and volunteers. Thank you for everything, Sean!

It was a wonderful experience. You can cook delicious dishes with the good ingredients provided by the house. The work schedules are well organized and the days off are on alternate days of the week (according to demand and number of guests). Sèan is systematic with his work to serve the guests in the best way possible. We didn't communicate much because my English is still quite bad, but he was always very respectful and met my expectations. The island can be a little quiet for those who like more lively places (which is not my case). Thank you Sèan.

It was one of the best experiences I've had, I had the opportunity to develop some skills, improve and practice my English and also learn a little Spanish :) Brenda and Sean were very patient in explaining and teaching me how things worked. The island is spectacular, lots of places to visit and cycle. I was really surprised by this volunteering.

The guest house was the perfect spot for me and my husband to experience a charming Irish island and its historic culture. From the application process to our departure, we felt valued by the owner Seán. He was kind, patient, generous and made amusing, witty jokes when you least expected it. We loved our room, the nutritious food, access to bikes and the chance to meet delightful guests and volunteers from all over. Inishmore itself is a wonder! The mighty forts, magical ocean, serene landscape and comedic animals (wild bunnies) will keep you entertained for weeks. Míle buíochas Seán.

Seán is a respected local who has dedicated his life to teaching, as well as continually learning and experimenting himself. This unique aspect means he regularly asks feedback and have discussions about the work dynamic and volunteers, truly a great trait! This experience give volunteers all they need to be comfortable and live healthy while immersed in rural Irish life, surrounded by breathtaking attractions and quaint little scenes. Highly recommended for energetic, hands-on volunteers who are keen to have a "behind the scenes" peak into the hospitality industry. Thank you Seán!
