Beppu was a nice small quiet town with still lots to do around! The place is quite rundown and u shouldn't be to picky with hygiene. the hostel is nice and u can easily use it without meeting other people. The managers are really nice and friendly! The work is not much so that's very nice. If ure lucky u might get ur own room while ur staying here.

I really enjoyed my time here, Masa-san and Got-san were always super nice to me and helpful anytime i needed. 🙏 Work was fair and as described, most of the times we would finnish a bit early which gave us a lot of time to explore the city (we started at 10am). You have a free the hostel (and for me, most of the times privat), which was amazing. I think the place could be a bit better cleaned in general, something's are just from the age of the building tho. Was in a room with one or two other volunteers, which gives you more privacy and freedom. 🙏 Also, lots of hiking, the hostel's and stuff to do.

It was ok . Like the work was easy and done before 2h but the cleaning standards really need to be improve. The hostel was not that clean and the facilities ( kintchen included) weren't that good at all. But there were free bikes and the deal was kind of respected! But there is still a lot to improve !

We stayed for nearly two weeks and had a fantastic time with the other volunteers. The work was simple and typically took less than two hours to complete, leaving us plenty of free time to explore Beppu (and Oita) or relax in the many local onsens. Bikes were available, which made getting around even easier! The only downside was that some common areas (which were not our responsibility to clean) were not well-maintained.

The hosts are incredibly kind, friendly, and fun to talk to. The other volunteers, and even the hostel guests, were usually lovely and enjoyable to talk to or hang out with. The work was easy enough to do while chatting with other volunteers. Overall, it was a good experience. The one downside was the staff room we were given. While it was fairly large, it was extremely cold and the wifi didn't work well. Eventually, a partial solution was found to the wifi issue, but the speed and reliability of the connection were not good. If you need to work remotely, this might not be the right fit.

I stayed 6 weeks, I had great time. Therere are few hours of work, so I had plenty of free time. If you are looking for a fancy hostel, that's not the type, it's more like a "hostel". Beppu is a quiet town, don't expect to have busy time here, is a place where to relax and doing your things. I deeply raccomand this hostel. 🤗

Straightforward work with very chill working hours which gives you more than enough time to explore Beppu, as well as surrounding cities. All the staff and volunteers were very friendly so making friends wasn't an issue at all. It's also in a convenient location, with only a 5 min walk to the station, as well as other entertainments nearby! I would definitely recommend checking out some of the amazing the hostel's whilst you're here!
