The Experience

We will only answer to people with experience. If you have never done manual work (renovation, construction, painting, gardening,...), DO NOT APPLY. You need to be able to do the projects alone. We are looking for someone good with his/her hands, in good physical shape, and who has already done some handy-person tasks. Tasks will be sanding, painting, gardening,...and helping do a big clean-up while the hostel is closed.

I had the most amazing time at the hostel. Céline and her brothers were amazing with the volunteers and all the guests and the work is simple and doesn't take very long. We were able to do so much in the hostel and its surrounding towns and I couldn't recommend this hostel enough. Thank you Céline and brothers!

I had the most amazing stay at the hostel. I really enjoyed meeting all the staff of the hostel and had a great time with the other volunteers. I had a lot of opportunity to improve my French and felt very immersed in the city by the end of my stay. Celine and her brothers were lovely and easy going. The work was very simple and left me a lot of time to explore and meet new people. I would highly recommend this position to anyone who wants to live in France and improve their French.

The hostel absolutely blew my mind! Celine and her brothers are incredibly kind and made me feel at home. The work was incredibly easy, especially when split between two volunteers and then you had the rest of the day to explore such a beautiful city. The kitchen was very nice and the amenities it came with, and while the room had no air conditioning, we were able to make do even during a heat wave. This city and the people I met will forever hold a special place in my heart and I cannot wait to return to the hostel one day!

I had a wonderful time at the hostel! Celine and her brothers were always very nice and willing to help out with advice and recommendations as well as with answering any questions about the hostel or the hostel. I found working at reception was super relax and straight forward in terms of the tasks that needed to be done. Plus, the people at the hostel were always great company to be around so it was fairly easy to make new friends and plan activities during the day. All in all, easy work, friendly staff and beautiful location 100% would recommend, especially for first time travelers :)
