The Experience

Every volunteer resident works three 5 hour shifts and one 2-3 hour shift (on average) every 6 days. (Please note, this is a 6 day cycle) Providing a good social vibe and cleanliness of the hostel is very important. Volunteering at the hostel was a lovely experience. The work was fair and everything was always kept clean. The hostal is very social and friendly and you make such good friends with the other volunteers and the guest. I highly recommended visiting the hostel:)

This is a very homey hostel with wonderful owners, and it attracts great travelers. It has been my favorite hostel experience by far. I would gladly stay another month if I could. Breakfast and yoga are included, and the kitchen had everything I needed to cook comfortably. The location is excellent, with easy access to everything I needed. Chiapas is gorgeous — full of nature, hills, and water. It's truly an amazing place!

I spent one month at the hostel, and it was one of the best experiences I've had. The hostel is fantastic, conveniently located near the Andador (the main street in San Cristóbal), and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. I'm incredibly grateful for the opportunity to have volunteered here. The tasks were simple, and the working hours were always respected. A big thank you to my volunteer group, Mari, Mariam, and AK. I'm sure we'll cross paths again around the world! 🫶 PS. I know you've probably heard that Chiapas is dangerous, but the tourist areas are really safe 🤙

The hostel has a place in my heart now. The volunteering was such an amazing experience. The environment of the hostel is so peaceful and fun, the work is fair, the hosts (AK and Elena) are people with good hearts, always willing to help. I felt at home when I was there, and for sure I'll be back one day. This was my first worldpackers experience and I highly recommend. Thank you for everything the hostel <3
