It was my first volunteering, and I couldn't be in a better place!!! Marzena and her family are amazing, and the place is fantastic - There are a lot of hiking to do, and beautiful places for visit! The job is okay, and very fair - just 1 or 2 days in a week - for you to have time to hiking. I recommend this place a 100 times - if you can go, just do it!!! I definitely want to come back!! ❤️

I couldn't stay for the entire time as expected due to personal reasons, and Marzena was super understanding. Marzena is a lovely person and is always willing to help if we had any questions. The hostel is very comfortable and cozy. The tasks are very simple and easy to do. Although I stayed for a short time, I loved the experience. Thank you Marzena for de amazing experience

It was my first time volunteering and GBL was the best place to do it. It really does feel like a second home, and it's the perfect opportunity to meet people from all over the world and create beautiful connections. Marzena was an amazing host and I am so grateful to her for giving me the opportunity to come here and experience this. She is so understanding and helpful, and has the kindest soul. The work is also really chill and fun, and I definitely learnt a lot. I absolutely recommend volunteering at GBL, it really is a little bubble of joy lost in the mountains.

Beautiful hostel in the Polish mountains. The work is very fair and you meet a lot of interesting and fun travellers and locals. Perfect for hiking in the Tatras as they are on your doorstep! A relaxing and amazing experience I won't forget 😊

My experience as the hostel was amazing! I met so met friendly volunteers and international travelers. The atmosphere was always warm, friendly, and inviting. A great space to stay to connect with others and nature. Definitely recommend!

I had an incredible time staying at GBL. Thank you for all the amazing experiences. I really enjoyed meeting people from all around the world, cleaning the hostel, speaking polish, reading in the common room, going for a hike and cuddling the cats; especially Mia. I loved being surrounded by nature in a warm, cosy, hostel, meeting new people everyday and spending time with animals. Thank you Marzena for accepting my application and creating a homey, fun and relaxing hostel. I will absolutely be coming back in the future!

I have read the reviews saying it is like a second home, but I didn't think I would ended feeling so at home there! I really hope I will be able to come back one day!

Good Bye the hostel is a home within the heart of the beautiful town of the hostel. Outside of the hostel are the gorgeous Tatra Mountains wonderful for skiing and hiking. Inside the hostel are the most friendly volunteers and travelers from all around the world. Thank you to the loveliest host Marzena for such a positive experience. I only wish I had stayed longer!

Wow ! I had high expectations because of the reviews, and I can tell you is the best decision ever! GBL has something special, and also as the people that arrive here. My experience was awesome, I had to extend, and will definitely come back. Marzena is just amazing! Thank you Marzena and all that made this experience unique 🫶🏼✨

This experience was amazing! I chose to volunteer at GBL due to all the reviews saying it felt like a 2nd home, and that felt so true. It was nice to have a lot of volunteers which were more constant than the guests, so that you could form stronger connections. The pace of life is slow, it rained almost everyday of my stay yet it was nice to just stay in and read and hangout with people as well. Rain = beautiful luscious scenery as well. Bring your hiking boots! That's the main thing to do and it's so beautiful. Marzena always had our backs and helped make our schedules work for us!
