My time at GBL was truly exceptional. The hostel is so cozy and perfectly located if you like hiking. The work is not hard at all and it doesn't even feel like working most of the time. Marzena goes above and beyond to make sure you have a nice stay and is a perfect host. The atmosphere with the other volunteers and guest is familiar and very social- so you always find someone to hike with. It is a place, where you can either be very active, or relax and just enjoy the vibe. I am going to miss everyone (especially Mia, Mao and Majka ;) Thank you for the great month!

GBL is more than just a hostel, it's a second home. The atmosphere is amazing, attracting great people and making work a pleasure. It's the perfect base to explore the Tatry mountains and local culture. What truly sets it apart is Marzena and the team. She's an outstanding host - caring, supportive and always looking after everyones well-being. Despite my injury, Marzena was incredibly kind and adaptable, ensuring I was supported and could still make the most out of my experience! No matter the season, this is a place worth returning to.The best mix of adventure, community and warmth :)

Marzena is a superb host that truly cares about her volunteers wellbeing. The hostel itself is super cozy and the perfect place to meet travelers and socializing. the hostel is beautiful and there are plenty of activities. Marzena as a host, the hostel itself and the city make this a perfect excitement. I can definitely recommend and will defiantly come back in the future like many volunteers do.

The whole experience was truly amazing. You feel like you are part of a family and the hostel itself has a magical atmosphere to it. The hours and work are very fair and on other days you get to explore the mountains and the local culture. It's a good place to reset and to meet other international people. I will definitely be back :)

I fell in love with the hostel from the first moments. Marzena, the other volunteers and the cats welcomed me very warmly. Honestly, this experience exceeded my expectations. The work was also a pleasure to do and the hostel feels like another home and the volunteers like another family. All the guests were also lovely, this place is a magnet to great people! It really is a special place, thanks to Marzena and the rest of the GBL team. I wish I spent more time here! I will miss the hostel and the people. Thank you!!
