I had an amazing time volunteering at the hostel Porto. The whole team is such a great group of people and really make you feel welcome. I really enjoyed that there were multiple other volunteers that you work with as it really makes creating a community here so much easier. The work is very clear and really easy to pick up. The schedule is always given the weekend before the work week, so it's a bit challenging to plan things on your days off, but there was always plenty of time to explore the city and the surrounding areas. I'd definitely recommend this opportunity.

My time at the hostel was absolutely phenomenal. I was welcomed as soon as I walked in. The staff and volunteers have dazzling personalities. Not one time in my month did I hear a version of "I don't want to here working". The duties and hours are fair. Slow days can be as the hostel as the busy ones. I believe the experience is what you choose to make it. I would have stayed longer if I didn't have other commitments because it's just that the hostel(WAY)! The location is prime for exploring the city. Thank you Gabriela and my fellow volunteers for making this experience the best one for me so far! 🌟
