It was my first time volunteering at the hostel. The overall experience was good. I enjoyed practicing my English and French with the guests. My co-workers Angie, Dani and Nancy made my stay very pleasant. Rodrigo were very nice to deal with and I found the tasks assigned to me easy to do as well as respecting my volunteer hours. What I would have liked is to be able to do more manual work which was proposed by me but I could never do because I did not have the required materials. Other than that, it was a good experience since I was able to meet other people& unimaginable landscapes

This entire experience has been fantastic. Day one, we were walked through the entire process/list of jobs that we needed to do. If we ever ran into problems, someone was always available to help us. The job has busy periods and periods of calm, and the owners are happy for you to do your own thing on reception so long as you've finished the job! The hostel itself is homely, with a relaxed vibe, often home to a blend of interesting and engaging guests. The beds are comfy and the rooms light and cool, with a good sized kitchen and living room area. All in all, an 11/10 experience

I totally recommend this volunteer! It was my first experience and I really enjoyed it. Rodrigo is very nice, open minded and flexible. The job is easy and I was able to meet many people during my stay. The other volunteers were nice and I could practice my Spanish and English with the guests. Breakfast is good. The beds are comfortable but there is no bathroom in the room so we had to use the one in the common area. The hostel has a nice vibe, good location and the common areas are homely. Thank you for this experience, Rodrigo!

Rodrigo and Viviana are both great people! I had a really fun time volunteering here. The tasks at reception are easy to do and when you need help, they will always come with aid. The beds were comfortable and room you stay in is very nice.

The town of Chetumal is small but a great base to be as there are so many things to do and see near the town. Such as ruins, 7 colour lakes, local swimming and kayaking spots, Belize and so on! Plenty of space within the hostel, lockers and AC in the rooms and the beds were also fairly comfortable. Working hours were very flexible and when understaffed Rodrigo would da chunk of the shifts himself, a kind person who led by example, this attributed to us staying an extra month! We loved the laidback family feel of the hostel!
