I enjoyed my time at the hostel. It has everything you need. The receptionist team is really nice and kind so you can count on them at any questions about transport and tourist attractions to visit in your day off. Somedays, I did the morning shift and other days in the night shift. The volunteer work at that position is very dinamic, so you have to be fast if there are several guests. I'm just grateful that i was accepted cause I learned a lot! And met wonderful people <3 the only thing to keep in mind as other comments said is that you'll be mixed with guests.

Overall the experience was good. Peschiera is a great spot to be in if you want to explore the lake or take day trips to Venice, Milan or Bologna. The team is quite friendly and can be accommodating, however some disorganisation caused quite a bit of frustration. Working here you really need to speak up for yourself and make sure to communicate when there are problems because the volunteer manager is usually quite understanding.

First of all, the place and the location is beautifull! But, there is som general problems with the one being responsible for the volunteers. If you want to volunteer here, be ready to voice your opinion and don't get offended by a stressful comment while working. You will sleep in the rooms with the guest, so for me it also felt like you were permanently working, because you'd always have to be polite and help answering their questions, even when you want to relax. I'm sure there is something to be done about these problems between the volunteers and the staff - good comunication needed.

My stay in this hostel was a mixed experience. The staff was really nice, welcoming and helped me with problems. However I feel like there is much to improve in organisation, leadership and communication. We did work two shifts, not one shift as stated in the description, that made going on trips throughout the day more stressful. Also they didn't have a room for just volunteers, we slept in one room with the guest, who were sometimes annoyed of us getting up early or coming in late. Nevertheless this stay was not bad in my opinion, there are just a few things which need to be improved.

My experience here was decent. It was neither bad nor great. I felt welcomed the first time and I was told by the one in-charge of the volunteers to stay relaxed and calm during work but in the end it never felt like that. From the first day it was already chaotic, I was told to do two things at once out of impatience and I was always stuck in a confusion that sometimes my tasks were interrupted halfway which eventually led to my morning shifts finishing later. The commands were off-putting that led me and other volunteers moved around too much but I have hopes this will improve. :)

The hostel was a great experience. The hostel itself is among the nicest I've ever been to, super clean and tons of common area. The full time employees at the hostel are all very kind people too! The work at the hostel was very easy, sometimes shifts helping with breakfast, sometimes helping at the bar at night, and sometimes a little bit of both. The town itself is very small and somewhat quiet but if you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing experience this is a good place to go.

I had an amazing time at Meet Garda Hostel and would recommend it to anyone wanting to explore a beautiful area, meet international travelers, and have a relaxing time. The staff were so kind and welcoming and the work hours were very respected. We worked between 4-5 hours a day so we had tons of time to explore the area (a lake town with easy access to cities like Milan, Venice, Padua, Brescia, Verona, etc), relax, swim, etc. I met people from all over the world and learned a lot from Matteo about Italian history and culture. We also worked alongside other volunteers so it was never boring!

I had a the best time at the hostel in Peschiera del Garda! The work was very manageable and we had a few different shifts depending on how many volunteers we were. Often we worked both mornings and evenings but ofc still scheduled to not work more than the said hours per week. So between the shifts each day we always had a lot of time to do what we wanted! My favorite part was to meet so many new and interesting people, both guests from around the world and the different people I worked with!

Such a special place. Great hostel, beautiful area, and most importantly, incredible people to share it with. The work was fun and allows you to meet travellers from all over the world. The staff was so cool and welcoming. Shared a lot of laughs with them. They allow you the freedom to do your thing and support when needed. As Bryar said below, one of the greatest experiences of my life. Thanks to everyone who was a part of it.
