The hostel is a great place to be based! It is very close to everything, including restaurants, convenience stores, and local transport. I got to explore a lot of the island without having to spend a night elsewhere. (You probably will need to rent a car to achieve this but there's a cheap place very close to the sharehouse) The staff are super nice and willing to help if you're struggling to use Japanese services like Yamato etc. The work is easy, very basic and never takes longer than 3 hours. Overall it is a great place to volunteer at! Deffo worth a visit if you want to go to Okinawa.

This was my first experience volunteering Worldpackers, I was a little bit nervous at first but it went really well )) I've met a lot of new and nice people. The tasks itself were clear and understandable (≈2h , and even more of free days then expected)), it was comfortable to live there for 3 weeks. From the very first day I felt welcomed 😊 Naha is a beautiful city and there are many interesting things around to see. 💕 hope to come back one day 🌴✨

It was amazing! The hosts Mei and Shou are open-minded and you can always talk to them. The other staff members were sweet, too. I had a great time making dinner with everyone or going to karaoke For work: 5 days a week I helped cleaning the beds and the showers for 3 hours a day, which was a bit exhausting at first, but it turned into a good shoulder workout. It also felt great to be of help for the people in the guesthouse The beds were small but cozy, the kitchen well equipped and the free rice was great. And from Naha you can go anywhere by ferry or bus to explore the beautiful island

It was my first time with Worldpackers and a great experience. The hosts give you a warm welcome and the atmosphere in the guesthouse is friendly and open. It made me feel at home, while meeting lots of great people. The capsules are cozy and leave enough privacy to relax when needed. The work was as expected, 5 days a week, 2-3 hours a day, depending on the number of check outs. There is enough free time to experience Naha and other regions of Okinawa. The island has beautiful nature and is definitely worth it. I made a lot of irreplaceable memories, thank you for this opportunity!

I had a great 1 Month stay at the guesthouse. The work is easy and most weeks you won't have to work the full 20hours, giving you more than enough time to explore Naha and the rest of Okinawa. Everyone is very nice and caring and I can't thank them enough for making my time here even better.

Mei and the team at the hostel were very welcoming and made me feel at home. The hostel cleaning takes around a couple of hours with 3 staff, and generally you will work 4 days a week, so it is very reasonable! The capsules themselves were spacious enough to feel comfortable in and have some privacy. Naha city has great food, and the location is nearby the bus stn and airport which makes travelling around Okinawa easy. There is also a library for study. I would definitely work here again!

This was my first work exchange ever, and I can't believe how flexible and kind the hosts were. There was plenty of work to do, dependent on the number of guests moving out so it's hard to be specific. When I come back to Okinawa I will definitely be reaching out to say hello to the friends we have made here. The location is fantastic, only a few minutes walk from the main shopping street, and a few tram stops from the airport. I hope all my work exchanges this year are a fraction as good! Love you all, Joe

What a way to start volunteering through WorldPackers! Not only did I have a great experience but also I made good friends at the hostel. Mei, the manager, is such a sweet person and very friendly as well. All the staff were also easy going people, funny, and up to help others anytime. Working hours were less than I was expecting but I suppose it's because it wasn't high season. The job itself was pretty easy. There's also free coffee, tea, sugar, rice and some other stuff necessary for cooking. I'm looking forward to going back to the hostel again.

I think Okinawa it's one of the best places to visit! It may be for the beautiful places, (specially those amazing beaches), or the people, everybody is really nice and kind. The work is really simple, cleaning the bedrooms and bathrooms. It was our fist experience traveling with the Worldpackers program, and we loved it! The people are amazing! We definitely recommend the hostel for everyone who's planning for a place to feel relaxed and surrounded of heart warming people. Mei and the others made us feel at home, even far away from home :)
