The manager showed me around when I arrived because the host was away for business. However, when the host arrived the following week, she was warm and friendly; I was pleased I chose the lodge. The views were spectacular, and the other volunteers had very similar personalities, so it was easy to get along with everyone. The location is very safe, and the locals are kind and welcoming. It is a great place to be.

The lodge was an amazing experience for me! Everything about the place is incredible, the location, food, people and more. The job is simple, basic bar and serving plus reception for a small hotel/hostel kind of vibe. Great hours and great guests means it doesn't feel like work at all. Just living in the jungle with fun and productive days. If that sounds good to you I highly recommend you checking it out. I know I definitely plan on coming back myself!

I had an amazing time at the lodge, the hotel is surrounded by nature and has amazing views of the landscape. The work was fair and balanced and the other volunteers really made the experience! Can't wait to return again and help out the team at the lodge ♥️

We enjoyed having Lucy here in the team. Even if it was just for a short stay the adapted quickly to the team and the tasks.
We wish her all the best for her travel and hope to see her again here.

If you're craving a genuine escape into nature, surrounded by wonderful people, then this place is an absolute must-visit! The work itself is easygoing, and Pia and everyone else are very fun to work with. I'm already feeling a twinge of nostalgia for this place, and you can bet I'll be back. It's more than just a jungle hotel; it's a place that's etched its way into my heart:)

The team at the lodge is awesome! Leaving them was definitely the hardest part. By the end we felt like family. You are truely having an off grid jungle experience at the lodge but it is very peaceful and bliss most of time. Check ins were my favourite because you get to meet so many travellers from all over the world and share travel stories and tips :)

I stayed at the lodge for 4 weeks and I couldn't recommend it enough!! The location is magical and as cliché as it sounds you do become a dysfunctional family. Thank you so much to everyone involved in my time at the lodge it was truly special 🧚🏻

I had a wonderful time at the lodge! I hot super lucky with my fellow volunteers- it was a great community and made the shifts so much more fun. The hotel is right by the river, surrounded by beautiful nature. Pia made me feel very welcome. Thank you for the opportunity and hopefully see you soon 🩷

My stay at the lodge was incredible!! Living and working with the other volunteers, staff and managers felt more like a family/community then work. I like how the shifts are scheduled and the tasks are easy. The vegan/vegetarian food was really good and the always made sure that I definitely get a vegan option! The guests were super nice and I had interesting and good conversations. The location of the lodge is incredible, so much nature!! I was fascinated by the Mayan culture and the local people around. If I travel in Guatemala again, I will definitely visit this place again!!

My experience at the lodge was something truly unforgettable. Though you expect to be in the middle of the jungle submerged in nature, you can't prepare for the magic you feel staying at the lodge. The hours are long but the work is very easy; the time commitment actually goes by much quicker then you expect. (I was ready to stay another month in the jungle)... If you want an incomparable, down to earth experience I would recommend working at the lodge. :) <3

I had an incredible time at the lodge and made amazing connections. The location is remote, beautiful, quiet and peaceful. It's a great place to tune out the noise of the outside world and connect with yourself and nature. The reception/bar shifts were 8 hours 5 days a week so it felt long at times but the tasks were easy and the schedule felt like a good work/life balance. Also i really enjoyed the food. At the end of my 6 weeks here I was very sad to say goodbye to this place, the other volunteers, the managers Raquel and Edwin and of course Pia. I'd love to return one day.
