The Experience

The main duty as a volunteer is to take care of our guests, give them a warm welcome and make them feel comfortable during their stay. For this we need help with at the reception, bar and restaurant (including check-ins and the usual day to day business) whilst spreading the good vibes of Utopia. We provide accommodation and 3 meals incl. 2 house drinks a day. You get discounts on all the other food drinks and tours/activities we have.

A very good experience. There is a schedule you follow and you have to do your shift so there is no confusion when you have to work. The place is very good and there are a lot if volunteers so you kind of create your own community there. We did have a small issue with the wifi and it was hard to get to a place with a wifi but other than that everything was great!

Volunteering at the lodge was an amazing experience for me. I had the opportunity to teach yoga and guide chocolate tours, and I'm incredibly grateful to all the beautiful souls I met along the way. This magical space allowed me to grow and unfold in ways I didn't expect. A special thanks to Pia, the manager, who supported me completely in stepping into my role as a yoga teacher. Her encouragement helped me feel confident, and I genuinely enjoyed every class I held at this stunning spot surrounded by nature. Thank you, the lodge, for everything. We had a wonderful time volunteering at the lodge very close to Semuc Champey! The owner, Pia, is warm and welcoming, and I'm very grateful to her for making our stay so beautiful. The working hours were exactly as described fair, light work, with plenty of time to enjoy the surroundings. The food was absolutely delicious, and we always felt respected and cared for. I definitely recommend volunteering here if you want a peaceful and rewarding experience in the Guatemalan jungle!
