I felt very welcomed and at home while staying in Atakpamé. They were wonderful hosts and really went out of their way to make sure I felt looked after and also saw some of Togo. The kids were friendly and tried their best to communicate (as did I) even if we couldn't speak the same language all of the time.
I would highly recommend talking to Mohammed and the NGO beforehand to see the best way you can work together, as they will be happy to accommodate your requests if possible.
Thanks brother - we are together!!

KFC was a life-changing experience unlike anything I have done in my life. The people and culture were amazing. When you visit you become apart of the KFC family, and are welcomed into the homes of the staff with open arms. Traveling as a woman to Africa alone might seem intimidating, but my experience strengthened my confidence of what I can do, where I can go, and the difference one person can make in a community.
