“If you ask a Nepali for help, they will never say no.” This is one of the first things I learned in the village, and it truly is an understatement of Nepali hospitality. Suman and Bijay instantly accepted me as one of their own family, and took me on a series of adventures, from trekking, to local festivals, to farming and teaching English. You are in good hands with these two, as they are very fast to respond, and always willing to go out of their way to give you a comfortable the project :)

Bijay, Suman, and all of the wonderful people involved in this project are incredibly kind. I felt welcomed as soon as I arrived in Kathmandu and really enjoyed traveling to and staying in Nagre. The village is gorgeous and the view from Suman's house is amazing. Suman is a great cook (and dancer) and made sure I was comfortable throughout my visit. The kids had a break from school while I visited so my tasks each day were mainly gardening, but the work is flexible and there is plenty of time to rest and hang out. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to visit Nepal!

I couldn't imagine a better place to stay! :) The warmth of the people and the stunning surroundings make it a truly unique and welcoming place you will never forget. Besides the best views with the mountains, sunset beers, playing volleyball with the kids and enjoying the bonfire while eating, you learn so much more about culture and the people that you will have the feeling of pure happiness! Gonna miss everyone, but excited to go back soon <3
