Hostel Ruthenstein is truly unique. I feel that once you get to know the people it becames an unreal experience. It is a massive hostel with a lot of staff and all are truly amazing. The hours are super resonable and in accordance to the description. You choose your own shifts so if you don't like something specific you can work around it. I loved doing breakfast shifts because the crew were simply amazing. Reception and housekeeping staff as well were true legends. I loved them all but special shout to mobin and paul, top lads!!! I know this hostel has helped me improve and it will help you.

I have no words to describe how my experience at this hostel changed me. I stayed for only 7 weeks and I wish I could have stayed for one year. I think this experience made me a better person, much more sociable, aware of my boundaries and able to co-live with different people. What I am going to miss more are the friendships, and all the wonderful people that work at the hostel and made my stay memorable.

I would 100% recomend this experience. The hostel is really nice, you can see that there was a lot of love and thought put in to it. The environment is nice and the work is fair. So many other places have volunteers as substitutes for employees, but here at the hostel I really felt appreciated and not just a way to save money The shifts are really diverse so you can choose ones that involves socializing but also choose ones that you can have some alone time. You can create your own schedule so it's possible to manage other personal activities If u have the chance, it's an amazing place :)

The hostel is truly a special place! the work is fun and easy, the hours are managed autonomously (which is perfect to make time to explore vienna and other cities), the benefits for the volunteers are very helpful and the hostel itself has a very cozy atmosphere to it. besides the incredible facilities, what truly makes this experience unique is the staff and the volunteers, everyone is super welcoming and make the hostel feel like a little family, for a while it became home away from home :) very grateful for the opportunity, i will miss everyone dearly!! <333

This was my first volunteering experience, and I couldn't be more grateful for it. This hostel is truly one of a kind!! The volunteer program is super well-organized, and the staff feels like one big family! The atmosphere is great, the benefits for volunteers are more than fair, the tasks are fun and light, and the workload is very reasonable. The staff genuinely listens when you make requests or suggestions, and I'm finishing this experience with beautiful memories and lots of new friends 🥰 I definitely recommend this hostel to everyone, it's truly amazing!
