My experience at the hostel was great! I was lucky enough to get along very well with the other volunteers. I was able to improve my English and tour Palermo and even Sicily in one month. The staff is lovely, the hours are flexible, and the work at the bar and reception isn't complicated at all. I had this experience in winter, but I think it's even better in summer! I highly recommend it!

⁃Lots of free time, Massimo sticks to the 5 hours a day&5 days a week. Training is very minimal but help is there if you need it - Hashan, Thilanka, and Lucia are amazing! -Only €20/week for food, no laundry in building -Main issue: guests would not sort their trash properly so we had to pick things out of the bins and sort it ourselves (at least we had disposable gloves...) -Hostel itself is not very clean, comfortable, or safe. It had 2 burglaries during my stay due to guests leaving their balcony doors open. Apparently cameras are being installed but be aware Palermo is not very safe

It was a good experience. I stayed during winter so the hostel were almost empty, however all the volunteers were so kind and the owner was flexible with my needs. Take into account the season to choose the dates of your stay depending on what you want to achieve. I appreciatte that Massimo was able to negotiate and respect the hours assigned for the shifts.

My first volunteering experience was truly special. The work dynamic and the overall atmosphere were so enjoyable, and Hassan and Thilanka were incredibly supportive—they're truly wonderful people. There was a difficult situation during my stay, but I really appreciated how seriously they took it and how quickly they acted, which made me feel respected and cared for. On top of that, I was lucky to have such amazing fellow volunteers. They were so kind and supportive, and their friendship made my experience even more memorable. The tasks were simple, which gave me plenty of time to explore Pale

I was in the Hostel for the November. It was my First volunteer experience and it didnt dissappoint me. I felt really welcomed, the tasks where easy and I met a Lot of wonderful people during my time there. You also geh in contact with the guests and get to know the city really well in one month. Palermo is a beautiful city and the hostel couldnt be located better (dorectly in the center and near the trainstation). The managers of the hostel were also really kind and supportive. I learned a lot and all in all had a great experience!! I can deffinitely recommend going there 😋🌻🙌
