It was my first volunteer work and what an incredible experience! The hostel is a very authentic and unique place, it's a great opportunity to learn new languages ​​and make connections with all parts of the world! The work may seem complex at first, but there's always someone there to guide and help! Everyone was very welcoming, the shifts are fair, and you learn SO MUCH! I left there with a little piece of everyone. It was literally my home away from home, I miss it every day 🩷🩷🩷🩷

Had an amazing time at the hostel, truly met some amazing people I'll love forever and made some great memories. The night shifts were a bit tough at first but once you settle into a routine with them, then they're super easy. I ran into a few problems as someone who only speaks English and a bit of French but there were always people around to help when I needed it. Overall definitely recommend and will always miss the mushroom pasta nights

What an experience! I LOVED spending my time working at Ostelo. Such a beautiful and cozy space with great facilities, a super welcoming staff, and fair shifts. I had the privilege of working on the rooftop, which I absolutely loved. The night shifts were a bit challenging, mainly because of staying awake, but apart from that, everything was quite smooth. On top of that, I truly enjoyed preparing and setting up breakfast every morning.

Had an amazing experience here. Would definitely recommend whether it's your first experience or you've done a few. The staff were always there to help if needed. I loved the cooking class that they put on. Overall it was one of the best places I've been to yet. I'll definitely be back.

The hostel was a nice experience. The crew is great and well welcoming. Most of the shifts are fine, except by the night shift that can be a bit tiring. Overall is a really great hostel.

I spent two incredible months volunteering at the hostel and it felt like home. The staff is super friendly and welcoming, they make you feel part of everything from the start. The shifts are easy to manage, the hostel is right in the center of Catania, so everything is close by. What made the experience even more special were the other volunteers. We became like a little family and made friends from all over the world. There was always something to do and people to meet. Catania and the hostel will always have a special place in my heart. If you're thinking of coming, don't hesitate!

I had an amazing time with this team! Marcello, Angela, Sara, Ale, Claudia – everyone was incredibly kind, helpful, full of energy, and always ready with a hug (which meant a lot to me, being far from family). I got to improve my Spanish and build great friendships with my new Argentinian and Colombian "hermanos" – and also with friends from Spain/UK/NZ and a lovely girl from Switzerland. The only tough part was the night shifts, since I usually go to bed early – but I survived, so all good!

I had a great time at the hostel. The hostel is located right in the city center, which made everything super convenient. I can recommend this place 100%. Big thanks to Ale for being there 24/7. I'm really happy about the experience and grateful for the opportunity to meet so many lovely people in such a short time. Everything felt very relaxed and easygoing, creating a really warm atmosphere. The only thing I personally found a bit challenging were the night shifts—but aside from that, it was a truly amazing experience, and I'm very thankful I got to be part of it!

I highly recommend!!! My experience was absolutely amaaaazing! I met, lived and worked with people who became my family. I was very well received and the space of the Hostel is beautiful! The night shift can be difficult for those who have trouble with the night or can not sleep later during the day. For me it was a bit difficult, but knowing that it was only for a period and with all the other amazing sides of being there, I thought it was really worth it!! I was really happy to have participated in this volunteering, I will never forget Catania and the friends I made there.

I highly recommend volunteering at the hostel💛 They made one of my first volunteering experiences so memorable and special. I was immediately welcomed with open arms and a big smile. The team is always there if you need anything and they make you feel home and part of the hostel family all the time. Also sharing a room with the other volunteers is really fun.
