It was my first volunteer work and what an incredible experience! The hostel is a very authentic and unique place, it's a great opportunity to learn new languages ​​and make connections with all parts of the world! The work may seem complex at first, but there's always someone there to guide and help! Everyone was very welcoming, the shifts are fair, and you learn SO MUCH! I left there with a little piece of everyone. It was literally my home away from home, I miss it every day 🩷🩷🩷🩷

Had an amazing time at the hostel, truly met some amazing people I'll love forever and made some great memories. The night shifts were a bit tough at first but once you settle into a routine with them, then they're super easy. I ran into a few problems as someone who only speaks English and a bit of French but there were always people around to help when I needed it. Overall definitely recommend and will always miss the mushroom pasta nights

Mi experiencia en el hostel fue increíble! Cumplen con lo acordado, las instalaciones son buenas, el trabajo es súper tranquilo y la ubicación es maravillosa. El staff fue increíble, sobre todo Ale, el manager, que siempre está disponible para lo que necesites!! Gracias el hostel, por esta experiencia maravillosa en Sicilia!!

What an experience! I LOVED spending my time working at Ostelo. Such a beautiful and cozy space with great facilities, a super welcoming staff, and fair shifts. I had the privilege of working on the rooftop, which I absolutely loved. The night shifts were a bit challenging, mainly because of staying awake, but apart from that, everything was quite smooth. On top of that, I truly enjoyed preparing and setting up breakfast every morning.

Had an amazing experience here. Would definitely recommend whether it's your first experience or you've done a few. The staff were always there to help if needed. I loved the cooking class that they put on. Overall it was one of the best places I've been to yet. I'll definitely be back.

The hostel was a nice experience. The crew is great and well welcoming. Most of the shifts are fine, except by the night shift that can be a bit tiring. Overall is a really great hostel.

Holii, La experiencia fue maravillosa. Me voy enamorada de este lugar, su comida, las playas y lugares tan hermosos, y las personas, desde los dueños y personal del hostal, huéspedes y voluntarios que me llevo en el corazón a cada uno ❤️ Lo único que no me gustó es el momento de decir adiós 😭 llegue a sentir este lugar como una segunda casa. Lo recomiendo mucho, aquí practiqué mi italiano y mejore mi inglés. A veces lo único que sentí es que los turnos podían ser un poco mal organizados y que podían haber ciertas diferencias pero nada que afecte mi experiencia. Gracias por todo! 🫶🏻

I spent two incredible months volunteering at the hostel and it felt like home. The staff is super friendly and welcoming, they make you feel part of everything from the start. The shifts are easy to manage, the hostel is right in the center of Catania, so everything is close by. What made the experience even more special were the other volunteers. We became like a little family and made friends from all over the world. There was always something to do and people to meet. Catania and the hostel will always have a special place in my heart. If you're thinking of coming, don't hesitate!

Ha sido mi primer voluntariado y sin duda alguna, ha sido una experiencia inolvidable. Se crean amistades muy bonitas, especialmente con el resto de voluntarios <3 aparte de que Catania tiene una vida increíble y es perfecta para visitar el resto de Sicilia. Desde el primer momento, el staff te acoge y te ayuda en lo que necesites, son muy amables y atentos. Hacen que cada shift sea más ameno y divertido :) È stata un'esperienza di cui sono molto grata ❤️

I had an amazing time with this team! Marcello, Angela, Sara, Ale, Claudia – everyone was incredibly kind, helpful, full of energy, and always ready with a hug (which meant a lot to me, being far from family). I got to improve my Spanish and build great friendships with my new Argentinian and Colombian "hermanos" – and also with friends from Spain/UK/NZ and a lovely girl from Switzerland. The only tough part was the night shifts, since I usually go to bed early – but I survived, so all good!
