The Experience

We are Angela & Marcello, ten years ago, we opened the hostel, this is a fantastic job. We will be happy to host you. Please be aware we are looking for a minimum 1 month stay , and those who are only interested in less than that, won't be considered! Give us a hand in reception, cleaning, breakfast and some night shifts and enjoy everything Catania has to offer!

It was my first volunteer work and what an incredible experience! The hostel is a very authentic and unique place, it's a great opportunity to learn new languages and make connections with all parts of the world! The work may seem complex at first, but there's always someone there to guide and help! Everyone was very welcoming, the shifts are fair, and you learn SO MUCH! I left there with a little piece of everyone. It was literally my home away from home, I miss it every day 🩷🩷🩷🩷

Had an amazing time at the hostel, truly met some amazing people I'll love forever and made some great memories. The night shifts were a bit tough at first but once you settle into a routine with them, then they're super easy. I ran into a few problems as someone who only speaks English and a bit of French but there were always people around to help when I needed it. Overall definitely recommend and will always miss the mushroom pasta nights

What an experience! I LOVED spending my time working at Ostelo. Such a beautiful and cozy space with great facilities, a super welcoming staff, and fair shifts. I had the privilege of working on the rooftop, which I absolutely loved. The night shifts were a bit challenging, mainly because of staying awake, but apart from that, everything was quite smooth. On top of that, I truly enjoyed preparing and setting up breakfast every morning.

Had an amazing experience here. Would definitely recommend whether it's your first experience or you've done a few. The staff were always there to help if needed. I loved the cooking class that they put on. Overall it was one of the best places I've been to yet. I'll definitely be back.

The hostel was a nice experience. The crew is great and well welcoming. Most of the shifts are fine, except by the night shift that can be a bit tiring. Overall is a really great hostel.
