It was a great experience. However, the accommodation is very basic. I recommend staying in a nearby hotel. Instead we worked less than the agreed time. It's nice to socialise with the students even outside of school.

My experience in this volunteering was simply wonderful. It's a 100% local environment, and Ty is a perfect host. He helps you with everything, immerses you in the local life, invites you to share activities with him, and takes good care of you. It's a very authentic place where you can discover people and places you wouldn't be able to know otherwise. The students are simply amazing, and I believe they were the ones who taught me. Highly recommended if you're a social, adaptable, and energetic person. A thousand thanks to those who made this experience marvelous.

I had a great experience the past 2 weeks at Mr. Ty's centre. The kids are really nice and cute and most of them really want to learn english so it's easy to speak to them and they taught me a lot about their lives and their culture! Mr. Ty takes you to local restaurants which was the best part, the food is so good. We also went to play tennis sometimes. The rooms are very basic and could use some cleaning but it was no problem for a short time. Thank you Mr. Ty for an unforgettable experience!

We had the most amazing two weeks at the centre, Mr Ty is such a kind considerate person who made us feel welcome and comfortable as soon as we arrived. He took us to some great food spots trying all the local cuisine having something different everyday. He also would take us to to play tennis and to the gym everyday. The students were so lovely and they taught us a lot about the culture in Vietnam. I would highly recommend this experience and wish you all the best for the future. Thank you Mr Ty 😊

Sharing time with the students in the centre and teaching them is what I value the most about the experience. They are enthusiastic, lovely and get to know them and their stories and dreams is a treasure I will keep with me for ever. Mr Ty is really kind and nice, and dedicated to the centre and the students. He give you a gastronomic experience as well. The place needs some cleaning, but he offers the basics to be comfortable. I'm super grateful for this experience and that's why I would recommend it. I grew up. Thanks Mr Ty for the opportunity!

I really enjoyed my experience. Mr. Ty is very welcoming and kind. Accommodation info: Private rooms with floor mattress/pad. AC in the room. Shared bathroom, no hot water but luckily it's hot outside so doable Teaching: Drop in classes, students come throughout the day with largest concentration in the evening. I had conversations with students to practice speaking, taught younger kids vocabulary, pronunciation. Largely speaking focused work. Suggestions: confirm weekly schedule with volunteers beforehand so expectations are matched. More structure for volunteers with lesson plans

Unfortunately we left a bit earlier because of the Visa but for 1 week and an half we enjoyed a lot staying with this amazing people. The kids were respectful, enthusiastic and very ready to learn English. The owner Mr Ty was very nice and friendly with us, he gave us everyday something more than the classic meals. There were just a couple of problem, we expected to play and teach sport to kids but the only sport that we made was between us and the hours of teaching were a bit more, but for everything else we really enjoyed our stay!

It unfortunately was not suitable for myself and another volunteer & we made the decision to leave after a few days here. The advertised 18 hours/5 days a week was not honoured. The way the day worked was the centre opened at 8.30am, there are no classes, students can drop in at any time until 7.30pm and practice conversational english and grammar with you. We would receive a text to come down from the classroom we slept in and help. Most days worked 6+ hours and no days off unless you stay over 1 month, I asked that he update the ad to reflect this. Students are great. No kitchen.

I loved my time at the English centre! All the kids are enthusiastic and excited to learn. Ty is an amazing host and always brings you for delicious food and can help you woth anything you need! I hope that in the future I can return! You do work more hours then stated but as there's not much else to do in Hong Ngu I didn't have an issue with helping more. You learn so much about Vietnamese culture living here
