It's been a pleasure volunteering in Alvor. I was staying in the main guesthouse so in 10min i was at the beach ! perfect localisation. Although if you are staying in the other house it's 30min walking (no bike). The hosts are very nice once you get to know them. The work hours were always respected and i was assigned to breakfast all along my stay, it's an easy work. One thing i would say a bit more negative is that the host provide very few equipment to do the work (im taking about cleaning here) i thought it was in a « sustainable » kind of practice but no it's just called being cheap.

This was my first volunteer experience and i was very happy with how it went. Christina and Fabio are both amazing. The work was good, i liked it, i cleaned the kitchen, never worked more than 5 hours. The place is nice too and its like 10-15 minutes from the beach, 45 minutes by walk from the cliffs. I loghten my stay a little, because it was really nice. I definitely recommend🤚🌸

I have no complaints about my time volunteering in Alvor! The work was simple and constantly changing so nothing got too repetitive. I will say that if you are a male and are not volunteering during the peak busy season prepare for a good amount of outdoor work. One of Cristina's properties backs onto a large field, I spent most of my days working doing gardening, labour and minor construction work. Not what I was expecting to do here but I did enjoy it! Aside from that Cristina was an great host and Alvor was awesome to explore! (Also shout out to Thiago & Anna for being so welcoming!)

I had a great time volunteering in Alvor for my first worldpackers experience. I mainly helped with the breakfast for the guests and different cleaning tasks. Cristina is wonderful and cares a lot about all the volunteers. The work hours are perfect and there is lots of time to go to the beach and explore nearby towns. I stayed at the volunteer house out of the main city centre so the walk to the beach was a lot longer, however, definitely worth it because the beach is beautiful! I recommend this volunteer experience!

This was my first Worldpackers experience and it was super good! Both Christina and Fabio are such nice and warm people. The tasks were very easy, mostly cleaning and organising and we often ended early so you have basically the whole day to explore! Alvor is so cozy and the beaches are amazing. It's a bonus if you know some Spanish cause a lot of the travellers are only Spanish speaking but that depends also I guess. I really recommend to stay there!

Absolutely loved my time here <3 Cristina and Fabio are amazing, super caring and warm people - I really felt like I was apart of their family. The work is simple, and the working hours are respected. Cristina was very flexible about the off days aswell. I stayed longer than anticipated, since I just fell in love with the place. In total there were 8 volunteers, and all of them were such lovely people and I loved spending time with them after work. Special thanks to Thiago and Ana for being so welcoming :). I definitely recommend this experience!!

It was my first time using World Packers and I loved it!! I volunteered in Portugal and it was a natural and beautiful place What a lovely place for FARO. People are kind and animals are cute, so it's healing. My host was perfect. My host always has a good smile that makes me feel good in the morning. I was so happy while I was in Portugal. I don't think I'll forget it. I want to go to Portugal again🤗🤗🤗

My stay in Alvor was good. Cristina was a bit strict, I didn't always like the way she communicated, but she didn't do it with bad intentions. I appreciate that we really worked the hours we were supposed to, and mostly less, never more. The accommodation we had was very nice. However, it's also true that we lived 20 minutes away from work and had to walk there, as no one gave us a ride by car... but Cristina did drive the other volunteers who worked at different times (because she was going to work as well), so it depends on the shift you get. Overall, i really enjoyed it there
