Alvor is so beautiful and the beaches are amazing. This was my first volunteer experience and I didn't know what to expect, but Christina is so positive and friendly and she really takes care of you! The accomodation is quite nice: you stay in the top floor/attic of a guesthouse villa which is pretty with a small pool and terrace. It is up to the volunteers to maintain the space so the cleanliness varies. The work never went over 5 hours for us (it was often 4); it varied depending on the shift you were given. None of the tasks were difficult but there were a lot. Overall would recommend!

Our time in alvor lots of fun, there was lots of volunteers which made it such a social experience which i absolutely loved and we had lots of free time outside work hours to explore and enjoy the beautiful beaches. Christina is very warm and welcoming, work difficultly can very from day to day and is challenging at times but is very well explained and facilitated. You start working at 7:50am or 10am and the work ranges from cleaning rooms, cleaning and preparing food in the kitchen for guests and gardening, the volunteer house is outside the centre so there is a bit of walking to locations:)

A Cristina é uma pessoa com coração muito bom! As tarefas eram simples, e definidas. A minha experiência foi maravilhosa! Único ponto é que o alojamento não é no centrinho, mas isso não atrapalhou em nada, eu amei a experiência e voltaria com certeza! Equipe 10/10. Obrigada Cristina, pela oportunidade! Foi dias muito bons! Ahhh, sem contar que a cidade é muito charmosa!

Este fue mi primer voluntariado con WP, Cristina fue mi anfitriona, una mujer muy amable, siempre con una sonrisa, energética y líder. Fabio es la mano derecha de Cristina, y el es muy amigable, siempre tiene una historia loca para contar y fue muy divertido trabajar con el. Por otro lado Alvor es un lugar increíble!! Fue una buena experiencia para mi, les agradezco a Cristina, Joaquin y Fabio por estos días de voluntariado.

Fue nuestro primer voluntariado en pareja y desde un principio Cristina y Joaquin nos hicieron sentir cómodos, siempre preocupándose y atendiendo a nuestras necesidades. Las tareas y los horarios son lo pactado y esta muy bueno porque te queda toda la tarde libre para recorrer, es un pueblo muy hermoso con playas maravillosas. Tuvimos una linda experiencia ya que se generó un buen equipo de trabajo y un muy lindo ambiente con todos los voluntarios🫶

The work was tiring but exactly as described and fair. Cristina is very direct, and she and Fabio were kind and understanding especially when I was sick the first day. Alvor is gorgeous, highly recommend checking out Praia de Três Castelos but you can't go wrong anywhere

De verdad que me encantó el poder pasar algunas semanas en Alvor. La vista del atardecer es uno de los mas lindos que he visto. Las playas y lugares son perfectos para quienes gusten del sol y el calor. Las tareas eran simples: preparar el desayuno a los huéspedes, barrer, trapear, limpiar baños, hacer las camas, etc. A veces había que hacer otras tareas fuera del Hotel, en mi caso me tocó pintar un sector de la casa de Cristina y retirar maleza de ahí mismo. La gente con quien compartí es muy amable. Agradezco mucho el poder haber estado estas 3 semanas en Alvor. Mi corazoncito se va feliz.

Cristina is so kind-hearted person. I felt there like in my grandmother's house! Working hours are always respected, hostel is close to hiking area and 30 minutes to the beach on foot. If you enjoy being close to nature, I would highly recommend this place!

Fue mi primer voluntariado en Portugal y fue una linda experiencia. Los anfitriones son muy buenas personas, Cristina tiene una energía admirable, los chicos que viven permanentemente ahì (Tiago y Leo) soy increibles personas. Se respetan los horarios de trabajo, las indicaciones son muy claras, los trabajos son muy simples. La ubicacion es muy campestre, puedes ir caminando al centro la casa en 20 minutos, a 10 minitos caminando hay un supermecado, la locomocion colectiva tiene una intermitencia de 1 hora aprox, pero los uber llegan sin problemas por 5 o 6 euros. Lo Recomiendo.
