Para ser mi primer voluntariado, estoy más que agradecida. En la casa de los voluntarios con Cristina y Joaquín aprendí sobre paneles solares, los frutos que cultivan y también muchas cosas en los hostales. Conocimos el hermoso pueblo la casa y sus playas, hice nuevos amigos y mejoré mi inglés. Me sentí muy bienvenida :) por las tardes disfrutábamos de la piscina y por las noches compartíamos cenas y charlas de la vida. Gracias, señora Cristina, por cuidar de Rosario y de mí 💛 Fue una experiencia inolvidable.

It was a fantastic experience. Cristina and her husband are wonderful people, kind and helpful. The work is as described, sometimes even less so. Cristina immediately gave us the right instructions to da good job, and best of all, you'll never be alone because you work in groups or pairs, which I really appreciated. We volunteers lived in a separate house; we had everything we needed, including a pool and a terrace. The house was close to the supermarket, the city center and the beach. I highly recommend this experience, and if you're lucky, your rommates will become your friends.

Fue una muy grata experiencia, el Sr Joaquín, la Sra Cristina, Fabio y Guga son unas excelentes personas. Si bien el trabajo a veces es cansador (fuimos en agosto que es la temporada alta, los otros meses es mucho más tranquilo) siempre se trabaja según lo acordado o menos y tienes las tardes libres para recorrer los alrededores y disfrutar de las playas. Es un lugar seguro, la casa está cerca del supermercado, compartes con voluntarios de diferentes nacionalidades y si tienen suerte como nosotras se transforman en tus amigos

È stata la mia prima esperienza di volontariato, e non sarebbe potuta andare meglio! Cristina e Joaquin sono stati sempre molto gentili e disponibili. Alvor è un posto molto accogliente e dove tutto è raggiungibile a piedi, dalle spiagge ai supermercati. Gli orari di lavoro vengono rispettati e il pomeriggio è sempre libero. Infine, per me la parte migliore del volontariato è stata condividere questa esperienza con il gruppo dei volontari. Ritornerei sicuramente

Mi experiencia en Alvor junto a doña Cristina, Don Joaquín, Guga y Fabio es inmejorable. La coodinación de tareas diarias y trabajo en equipo fue absoluta, me trataron con respeto, amabilidad, haciéndome sentir valorada en cada jornada. Agradecida de poder compartir con ellos a diario y que me abrieran las puertas de su lindo hogar. Sin duda alguna una parte de mi queda en Alvor, una de las zonas más lindas y tranquilas de Algarve ❤️. Lo recomiendo al 100% a tal punto que fácilmente podría retornar por este sitio. Obrigada por tudo gente querida ☺️

I had a great time in Alvor! Christine is a very kind and welcoming host and so was her whole family as well. The accommodation that was provided was cozy and just a 15min walk from work and Alvor itself. The cleanliness of the accommodation is up to the volunteers to maintain so keep that in mind. The work itself wasnt too hard and we sometimes had the chance to finish early. Alvor is a small town with not much to do, however the Algarve coastline has beautiful beaches to offer and towns to explore. This volunteering experience is ideal if youre looking for a laid-back holiday vibe.

I mostly worked in the kitchen, and would clock in at 8 and work until 12 or 13. Some days I had help the whole day, and the work would be very easy. On days where I was working alone, the tasks were more time consuming. We stayed at the guesthouse itself and shared a room with Fabio. It was nice and central, but the other volunteers stayed in another house, so we didn't see them as much. Every day we would go to the beach and in the evening we would explore nearby cities like Lagos or Portimão, or just stay in Alvor. Cristina and her team were all very nice, thank you for everything!

Mi estadía en la casa fue increíble. Se respetaron las tareas y horarios acordados, Cristina fue muy amable y siempre al finalizar tu jornada te comentaba el turno del próximo día por lo que podías organizarte muy bien tu tiempo libre. Por las tardes, recorrimos Alvor, Portimão y algunas de sus playas. El grupo de voluntarios que me tocó fue lo mejor de toda la experiencia allí, sin dudas repetiría.

Cristina is so lovely and genuinely cares about the guest house and the guests. The work was relatively easy and I was able to finish earlier everyday due to it not being super busy. The accomodation is homey and the other volunteers were very friendly! Alvor is beautiful and there are many beautiful beaches near by to explore! There isn't much else to do though, so I would recommend this experience if you are looking for a more relaxing stay!
