The experience allows to see the beauty in Bacalar, hostel by the lagoon to swim everyday and Sailboat and Paddleboard free tours🤙. The work is great, very fun and interact with guests, amazing time. Only downside is you don't live at the hostel, it's a residence specifically for workers and is not a very clean place. However has a good location and you get one lunch meal per day. Renata, Alfredo, guys from the bar and kitchen are very nice and friendly. Two days off and “work” doesn't really feel like work at all, it's just having responsible fun in the activities.

Volunteering at the hostel was an unforgetable experience. I got many great and a little maybe no thaaat great things to say about this place. Volunteers doesnt sleep at the hostel, they do at Pueblo Viejo. When I arrived it surprised me because things like the kitchen and fridge were increíble dirty, I couldnt find a place to save my food. The best about pueblo viejo is itd community, it was a place for thousand of laughs and meeting wonderful people. You'll work 6h, 5 days a week organizando the hostels activities. I loves the staff of the hostel, and Ill keep many of them in my hearth! Saludos Yakos

Volunteering in the hostel was so much fun. The activities are nice and there is always people joining. I really liked it that the staff house was not inside the hostel. It is nice to have your own space with the workers and other volunteers. During my stay, the staff house was cleaned regularly

I absolutely loved my time at the hostel! I honestly couldn't have asked for a better first-time volunteering. Everybody was so nice and even though not everyone speaks English, we always figured all out and I got to improve my Spanish as well. The staff house isn't the prettiest but the rest is great. Activities for guests were a lot of fun (it doesn't even feel like work) and meals were tasty. In addition, Bacalar and its lagoon are just stunning. Make sure you do some tour by the hostel!

Got there to basically no explanation and everything I was told by this chick at reception was basically going against what was written in the description world packers then I got in trouble when trying to make a simple coffee or hanging with a friend. Secondly living conditions were not okay, I left after 4 days, the kitchen had maggots and smelt, covered in grease and dirt (apparently it hadn't been cleaned in over 6 months) the bathroom was covered in mould and again smelt, communal area was gross. Very dirty living conditions. Most of the team were lovely and work tasks were fun
