The Experience

Our hostel has been voted the best hostel in Sweden repeatedly by our guests. You would be a part of our team, function as a host, and welcome our guests late evening. Show them the facilities, hang out with guests, and make sure everything is alright at the hostel. You will also make sure that some essential areas in the hostel look alright in the morning. It includes 1.5 hours of cleaning. We prefer that you stay for at least 3 months or more.

My experience with CityBackpacker's Hostel has been very good! The place is cozy, travellers you'll meet are nice and fun. Bosses are respectful and engaging. Living spaces are shared with other guests, and the kitchen is also communal. This place is 100% perfect for extroverts who love spending time with travellers the whole time :) The location is amazing - right in the centre, so getting anywhere in Stockholm is super easy and fast. The volunteer work is simple and usually takes place late at night, so your days will be free.

I had such a great time, the staff and facility is very welcoming. They made me feel like a part of the team from the first day. Everyone is really hard-working (especially the cleaning staff) although they always made time to socialize and give me tips to perform my tasks better. As the night host, work is not so demanding but it is a very important role. It is necessary for you to be very responsible and accountable. The guests doing late check-in solely rely on you to be there for them. I strongly recommend this opportunity and hope to come back very soon.

Volunteering here in Stockholm was a truly rewarding experience. The hosts were kind, respectful, and always made sure I felt welcome and appreciated. The atmosphere was relaxed yet organized, and I always knew what was expected of me. I had the chance to meet amazing people, learn new skills, and contribute meaningfully. I felt trusted and part of the team, not just a volunteer. I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a positive and enriching exchange in a beautiful the hostel like Stockholm.

This was my first volunteering experience and I could not have picked a better host! I immediately felt welcomed and as I was at home, the staff are some of the nicest people I ever met, and I feel like I have made friends for life. The work is really easy to do, and the hours are great, so you have a lot of time for yourself and explore the hostel. The hostel itself is amazing, really cozy and clean and great for hanging out and meeting new people. I genuinely recommend this experience to everyone and I hope I come to visit again as soon as possible!
