The Experience

Welcome to our internship program! With this Internship we're looking to have people in the team interested in having a working experience in tourism and hospitality, helping us to offer our guests a memorable time. The internship program has a minimum stay of 4 or 6 weeks (depending on the season), during which you'll be able to learn and expertise the work of one of our departments. In this position, you'll be working in the reception and bar.

I recently had the pleasure of participating in the volunteering program at the hostel, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. The hostel's vibrant atmosphere and absolutely lovely staff made me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. Mónica and Tiago set clear expectations from the beginning and always have time to listen and address any concerns. The work itself was fun and varied, allowing me to learn new skills especially behind the bar and front desk . The staff dorm was clean and comfortable.

This place invites you to be your true being in a respectful and kind way, it feels like a magnet for wonderful people. Everything was the way we agreed and as it was winter the shifts were pretty calm but this gave me the opportunity to connect deeply with the team and some guests. The team room was cozy and all of the common areas were perfectly clean all the time. The opportunity of learning how to surf was awesome and the beach is close by, even tho it's not necessarily to go out for feeling that your in a paradise. So much love in such a cute house ❤️

Every guest and staff member said the hostel was the best hostel they'd ever stayed at, and I couldn't agree more. From the second I arrived I instantly felt welcomed and at home. Mònica + Tiago are so lovely and always make it a priority to check in with you. Cascais is also so beautiful + attracts so many likeminded people from all over the world that I'm so grateful to have connected with. I got to surf regularly and had so much time off to explore Portugal on my own + with other volunteers. I couldn't recommend this exchange more, it truly is a slice of paradise that I'll cherish forever :)

Volunteering at the hostel was one of the best decisions I've ever made! Every staff member is so positive and friendly. The work is very manageable with lots of free time to socialize with the other volunteers/ guests. I was able to go on so many adventures on my days off with the other staff too! Monica and Tiago were so helpful and accommodating with everything. If you want to make lifelong connections and explore one of the most beautiful cities of Portugal, I DEFINITELY recommend volunteering here. I already miss it so much! PS. There's also a cat (Piteu) and she's the cutest cat ever🥰
