- I was sleeping in the girls dormitory (pros: personal bathroom, cons: lack of privacy). - Autumn no activities = no kayaking, no jumping cliff. We have access to bikes that are in poor condition (it takes 45 minutes to 1 hour and a half of cycling to get to the most beautiful hikes) - No meal at lunchtime on Sunday, but you still have to work. Lunch = pasta that tastes sweet which is very strange, tuna, chickpea and nachos. Breakfast= bread, peanut butter and nutella (nothing else) -Work = dishwasher, handyman or housekeeping (nothing else) (volunteer works harder than the staff)

The work was very easy and the team was incredible! Everyone helped me and showed me around. The hours and the work are more than fair however it was a bit confusing in the beginning because the place is big and there was a lot of staff walking around. Other than that the island is lovely and Freyah was very helpful everytime I needed something from her. Look out for the summer time, we stay in tents and it is a cold weather in Scotland nevertheless if that is ok for you I know you are going to have a great experience! I deffenitely recommend it

Nice place, stunning landscapes, great whiskies. Just wish we had three actual meals a day instead of the 5pm lunch/dinner and having to manage the rest with toast bread, peanut buuter and nachos... I would recommend to stay three weeks, which is enough to visit the isle of Skye and the hostel (the things worth visiting) more than that, you get too used to the place and the work (which, by the way, is not very interesting (cleaning bathrooms) but not tiring/difficult either) and just end up spending your free time either walking the same paths or just drink 'till the next day...

In general the experience was really great. The work I had to do, even though it was not the one that they said I would do, was ok and not very demanding. I was in housekeeping for the 3 weeks I was there and always cleaning bathrooms, but i'm not complaining, it was okey. The staff was more than great, mostly everyone was very nice with me, and helpfull. When talking about the food, it was great. Dinner was really good. I had an allergie and the chefs always cooked something different for me when they used that ingredient. I would recommend it!

I was travelling with my boyfriend and we got to share a tent and work together. The first days we even got to be in a pot! Although we were expecting to do something more diverse we ended up everyday on Housekeepig, which in our case ment 5h a day of cleaning bathrooms. Despite this, we got to do it together and play music, so it was kind of fun. Also, Ann, the woman in charge of Housekeeping was really nice and everyone there was so helpful. We almost never saw Freya, but the ambiet was great and the food pretty good too. Exploring skye was hard from here without a car.

Beautiful experience in a relaxing and peaceful environment. Staff was always helping me, and Freya and David were attentive with me. I worked 5 hours per day in "kp" and housekeeping, 6 days at week, but it was not a hard job. I was sleeping in a tent, but I think it is possible for you to get a cabin if you stay so many time. There's not a lot of activities to do during free time, but there are a lot of possible trips in the island, even you can get the ferry and going to Skye. The meals and food were great, but maybe you will need to buy food on the shop located in the village. Thanks guys!

We really enjoyed having Pablo and his travel buddy Pedro here working with us, they did all the tasks we asked of them really well, this was mostly in the kitchen porter and housekeeping roles. and although the tasks are not glamourous, they got stuck in every time. They got along well with the staff here at Raasay House. Please don't hesitate to have Pablo on your team if he sends you an application to work with you. Cheers.

Living and working at the hostel was a great experience! The work was straight-forward and only short shifts. We lived in a small cabin (myself and 2 friends I was travelling with) and had access to bathrooms, showers, meals, laundry, and different outdoor activities. The best part was how welcoming the other staff were and getting to know them! It was also easy to take day trips around the island and to the isle of skye.

The hostel is a great place to work if you want a chance to explore the Isle of Skye! The staff here are great and made it very easy to adapt to the every day life. the hostel Island is beautiful and so much fun to explore! They have lots of activities for you to participate in (kayaking, coasteering, gorge walking), and there was always something new to try! If you like beautiful mountain views, adventure and meeting some great people, the hostel is an awesome choice!
