The Experience
We have guests from all over the world, so it can be busy in the summer season, but it is mostly quiet. We have 3 shifts during the day, and we can arrange the schedule on a weekly basis. Your main duties will be to welcome and assist new guests with check in and directions in the city, providing them with hostel amenities, maps, etc. A bit of cleaning and being attentive to guests' needs - not hard work at all! My stay was amazing! I arrived in Palermo feeling sick, and even though Francesco is super busy, he was very kind. Andrés was incredibly understanding and gave me a few days to rest before starting. The hostel is a bit old, but the work is simple and manageable. The group of volunteers was fantastic: we all got along really well, and I even made some great friends, including a few guests. The atmosphere with both the hosts and the team was super friendly and respectful. I'm really grateful for the experience! ❤️

I had an amazing time at the hostel, which became my sicilian home i'd love to come back to ❤️ the hostel itself is not the most comfortable place to live, it doesn't have many facilities and definitely needs some renovation and care in organisation, but what made my stay wonderful were the people, who bring a cheerful and welcoming atmosphere to the place and let forget about any inconvinient:) thank you all, the hostel's staff and the volunteers team, for this lovely time in Palermo!!

I absolutely loved the experience! Palermo is an amazing city with incredibly welcoming people. Its the ideal base to explore Sicily, with beautiful beaches arou and easy access to travel, the location of the hostel is perfect. The nightlife is awesome, it's not expensive and the food money makes the stay a lot easier. The hostel needs a lot of improvements, as it's not really comfortable but for a short-term stay, it offers a lot of freedom. We made our own schedule and I had the best time volunteering at the hostel, was like my home for these 2 months. Thank you Andres, Francesco and Maud!
