This is the second time I've volunteered at Hostellicious and once again I was very well received here, I feel at home, the hostel has a good structure and is well located, Faro is a charming city so if you're thinking about volunteering at Hostellicious I'm sure you'll enjoy it a lot.

It was my first Worldpackers experience and it was perfect. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to connect with other travellers, because it's a really lively hostel with a great atmosphere. All of the staff is nice and working with them was super fun.

Really enjoyed my time here, the staff and other volunteers were all really helpful and friendly. For any volunteers going in the future it might be wise to learn some of the basics in Portuguese to help you while you're there although it's totally do-able without aswell

I had the opportunity to volunteer at Hostelicious and it was a very enriching experience. The work is not easy – it requires dedication, effort and a willingness to learn. But I can say that every challenge is worth it. Thank you for all your support. A special thanks to the housekeeping manager, Leandra and the team, Taina, Cassio, Fabián, Luyanne and to chef Maurico and his team, Fabian and Tida. <3 Hope to see you there in the summer

I had the most amazing time in Faro. This was my first Worldpackers experience and was one of the most fulfilling months I've ever spent. I really wanted to immerse myself into Portuguese culture, meet people from all over the world, share amazing nights with them and this hostel gave me just that. You meet a lot of locals despite staying in a hostel. If you want to learn Portuguese, no better place than here. Faro is a quaint town in the winter months and gives you a fresh break from the chaos of the big cities. Highly recommend!

I had a great time at Hostellicious during February, and despite being a low season, was an amazing experience because of the staffs, volunteers and guests. Even the shifts were easy and enjoyable while we worked with friends. I had a lot of free time and I met incredible people there. The location is perfect and you are not far away from the bars and clubs. I highly recommend Hostellicious and I hope to come back soon and visit the friends that I made there.

The ideal first Worldpackers experience. The hostels are as pristine and characterful as you could wish for, well deserving of their high reputation, and Faro was exactly the right kind of place, for me at least, to start my journey at - beautiful and relaxed. The work was perfectly reasonable, and the time flies by housekeeping with the troops - big obrigados to Lou, Tai, Kas, Fabi, everyone. Strong recommendation, the lifestyle is a fine one, getting out a good amount to nature and enjoying a sweet nightlife with the captains of the pub crawls, the other volunteers, staff and guests.

Aquí tienes un texto breve en inglés: I had a great experience working at a hostel. It was an incredible opportunity to learn new skills, meet people from different backgrounds, and grow personally and professionally. The environment was dynamic and fun, making every day enjoyable. I truly appreciated the chance to contribute while also learning so much along the way.

My time at Casa d'Alagoa was awesome! It was my first time ever volunteering/travelling abroad, and I'm very happy to have been with the hostel team. Work is split between housekeeping and dinner/breakfast shifts. The housekeeping is hard! But it goes by fast and the housekeeping staff are very kind. Bring water, fan, bandaids! The dinner shifts are super fun, social and engaging with delicious food. The room at Casa is hot! Communication between staff/volunteers was sometimes unclear, but the team is great and easy to work with. Overall I had an amazing time, can't wait to go back! :D

Working at the hostel was my first experience with volunteering, and I'm amazed by this opportunity! At first, it was a bit challenging because I'd never done housekeeping before, but after a couple of days, I started helping with the dinner service every night. It was incredible! It's a great opportunity to meet new people who come as guests, as well as the staff working there. During the day, I had plenty of time to do whatever I wanted, and in the afternoon/evening, I was in charge of the dinners and specials events. I highly reccomend trying this experience!
