The Experience

The boat is getting hauled out today and I am hoping that working on a one-of-a-kind wood and epoxy monohull with a lifting keel sounds exciting! The boat is now in Carriacou, just north of the island of Grenada, and depending on how motivated we are I'm hoping to put it back in the water in a couple of weeks, which is only possible if I have help. The boat yard has wifi, I'm a good cook, and the sun is shining. Interested?

I spent two amazing weeks on a sailboat in the Caribbean and had such a great time. I had zero sailing experience before, but I learned the basics and got a really good feel for what life on a sailboat is actually like. From helping out on board to just enjoying the ocean, it was a huge learning experience. One of the best parts was spending time with Max. We had lots of great conversations, shared unforgettable moments, and the vibe on the boat was always relaxed and welcoming. I truly recommend this experience to anyone who's curious about sailing and loves the ocean. I hope to be back too.

I stayed with Max for over a month (maybe even two) and I loved it!! 🥰 I would recommend this experience to everyone who is thinking about joining the boat experience!!⛵️ The boat is in need of maintenance but the work is relatively chill and Max is very flexible about it as long as you put work and passion into it <3 Living on a sailboat with other people can be very overwhelming because there is not much privacy and you live in a tight space together so this is something you should be prepared for. Luckily Max and me got along very good and I definitely consider them a friend for life 🫶🏽
