Craven Arms has very little to offer for entertainment but there's a train station that can take you to many cute towns from around the area, nice hikes and all the way to bigger cities with a lot more to do if you have money to spare. There's a local grocery with good pricings and mostly anything you need. The job is very straightforward and not too demanding. I highly recommend to listen carefully to the instructions, get into a good pace and do your best. The atmosphere is welcoming and friendly with lots of information to learn from. Millions of thanks Terri, Andy and Family 🐴🐱🐢

It was an amazing experience, in a few words it's the best place to have your worldpackers experience and feel at home at the same time. Terri and her family were always kind and attentive, the work is easy, requires a bit of physical work but can serve as exercise of the day haha, we learned a lot about the horses and their care, super comfortable room with TV, the most delicious dinners in the world! We will always be grateful to them!

Amazing experience. We feel at home immediately. We were able to learn a lot about the horses, Terri answers any questions and is very patient. Living with the horses, cats and dogs every day was very nice. Simple physical work and outdoors. The family welcomed us like old friends. Every day the dinner was delicious and the conversations very pleasant. The house is cozy and comfortable. Craven Arms is well connected, the station is 15 minutes from the house (walking). There are bars, supermarkets, public paths, etc.

The home was a great first experience with Worldpackers. You get Terri and Andy as welcoming hosts, an insight in the English culture and straightforward job tasks. It has been a memorable experience to get to connect with horses. The location is quite rural, but thanks to the good train connections you're able to explore Shropshire with its beautiful hiking and cute towns as well as bigger cities in the country. Lots of thanks to the whole family!

Terry and his family are great and friendly. I was able to share with all the members of the family, learn about their traditions, food, their daily life and the love and responsibility for horses πŸ˜πŸŽπŸ’œ

Bad experience! Think twice before you leave your country and spend your money volunteering at this place: 1 The work with the horses carried out on the farm depends 100% on voluntary labor, but it seems that we are employees; 2. The hostess was disrespectful, she yelled wildly at my wife when putting a horse for a few minutes in the wrong stall; 3 My wife and I have been unfairly labeled "lazy", perhaps because we refuse to work overtime; 4 Working with horses poses a certain physical risk, as in certain situations they become dangerously agitated."

The family is really nice, Any and Terry are really nice people. I think I got bad luck because when I arrived I had her grandmas room and it was full of stuff, so I did had space to put any of my things, also, the kitchen is not very tidy but I guess that for some people that is not an inconvenient The work es heavy but easy and there is a Castle near the town Because of the daily hours you are probably not going to be able to go explore or something else in the laboral days, because it was from 8 to 11am and then from 3:30 to 5:30, and you will end the day really dirty Andy cooks delicio

Terri and her family were absolutely amazing and very welcoming. I felt at home immediately! Working with their horses was also incredible. I've learnt so many things and got so much more comfortable around them. It's a HAPPY place. Terri and the whole family were very patient, helpful and kind with whatever I needed to learn. I'm so grateful I had the opportunity to be with you all. It was, without any doubts, the best experience life has given me so far. Thank you so much!! 😘

My experience at the home couldn't be better! It was just lovely. Terri and Andy are great hosts ready to make your stay amazing. During the month I was at the home I felt at home. It was not everything about working, they truly are involved and interested to share with you and teach you about their life style, horses, etc. Food is amazing, you will always have time to share a cup of tea with Andrew and talk about whatever you are interested. I'm so happy that I had the opportunity of staying with this lovely family, I'm going to miss them so much.
