This volunteering experience was truly something special, and I feel so lucky it was my first! The project is inspiring and you can genuinely feel the positive impact it's going to have. I learned so much, not just about gardening and construction (although I am leaving with a few more skills in my pocket), but also from the lovely locals who welcomed us with open arms and taught us my new favourite card game, Omi :) Huge thanks to Peter for his kindness throughout, guiding us and making sure we felt supported every step! I can't wait to be back to see how this beautiful project turns out!

I am deeply grateful to Peter for giving me the opportunity to take part in my first ever volunteering experience,it was truly exceptional, his team was incredibly kind and welcoming, creating an environment where I immediately felt at home. The farm, surrounded by nature, was breathtakingly beautiful and offered a peaceful retreat from the everyday. What stood out most to me was not only the meaningful work with sustainable projects but also the cultural exchange and strong sense of community. I genuinely wish I could have stayed longer, and I'll definitely be coming back.

I'm incredibly grateful for the unforgettable cultural experience I had. Arriving during the New Year holidays, I joined the local festival, not just as a guest but as a participant, shoulder to shoulder, eye to eye. Life at the site was peaceful and rich with cultural exchange, built on mutual respect and real connection. Over time, I felt like part of a family. Peter, the host, is a truly caring person who listens and supports you fully. I'm excited to see how the project grows—and I know I'll be back, not just as a volunteer, but as a friend.☺️🙏

Simon, your words genuinely moved me. Hosting you was more than just sharing a space—it was sharing ideas, culture, and meaningful connection. From the moment you arrived, you brought presence, depth, and kindness to every moment. Watching you immerse yourself in the culture and the community reminded us all why we do what we do. You’ll always have a place here, and I can’t wait to see you back someday. Until then, keep being you—you’re one of a kind.

Await for the spices.. 😍

One of the most amazing experience of my life. Being able to truly connect with all the locals, learn about their culture, their holidays, their games was such a unique experience. You really feel like you're part of their big family. The hosts are as amazing, they made the communication really easy. They're always open to suggestions and they listen to your needs. They have a wonderful project and I feel really special to have been part of it! If you're looking for this type of experience with a great location, the eco village is for you! Just so you know it might be hard to leave ;)

Flooo…You didn’t just visit Sri Lanka—you became part of the village, part of our chaos, jokes, deep talks, and all the beautiful little moments in between. You brought your whole heart, and we felt it every single day.

Thank you for being the kind of iuman who makes everything better just by being around. your bed’s waiting, little oooome is waiting, the crew’s waiting, and the Sri Lankan Olives just for you! Big uggs and belly laughs coming your way!

Truely such a unique experience. I was able to meet and socialise with local village people and learn about Sri Lankan culture. I had the chance to be there for the new year festival. It was amazing to be apart of all the games, music and dances. The hosts are very welcoming and good at communicating, I felt comfortable working with them. I recommend anyone wanting to experience local culture to come and be apart of this project. I will be back and cannot wait to see everything finished

My volunteering experience was overall very positive. Peter is extremely kind and welcoming, always available for any request or need. The place we stayed in is really nice, close to the beach and all main points of interest, and he helped us a lot — we often went out together, and he gave great suggestions on what to do and where to eat. As for the work, the schedule wasn't always very clear, and the tasks were quite light, often just half an hour or an hour a day. So it wasn't a particularly formative experience in terms of farm work, but it absolutely was for the people I met and the lovel

Hi Daniele, Hope you didn’t have any hard work and 4hrs of daily work. The format was given to you and if you been a proactive person you should have worked 4hrs checking each and every plant daily. Cheers..!

This was my first volunteer experience, so I wasn't entirely sure what to expect. Peter was welcoming and helpful. I stayed with three other volunteers and shared a spacious, quiet room with one of them. The project itself has a nice concept, though due to the weather we weren't able to do very much. We did learn a few things about farming and enjoyed fresh coconuts during our time at the farm. The family who prepares breakfast is very kind, and the dogs on the property are also lovely to have around. I enjoyed the area and had a good time during my stay!
