My experience with Peter was mostly positive and I truly appreciated the warm, welcoming atmosphere he creates. The sense of community and cultural exchange made my stay meaningful and enjoyable. Towards the end of my stay, there was a challenging situation involving another volunteer that couldn't be resolved in a way that felt comfortable for everyone, which led me to leave earlier than planned. Overall, I'm grateful for the experience and believe it can be a good fit for travelers who value community and cultural immersion.

It was a great experience. Peter and the others are so friendly and kind; they help and advise you on everything you need. They are like a family where you are always welcome, and we spent a lot of time all together. At the farm, we harvested, took care of the plants, and watered them. The farm is a beautiful place and the people there are truly wonderful.

Peter has been a truly amazing host, very accommodating and kind and I am so grateful for the time I got to spend here!! Even though I only stayed for two weeks, I immediately felt welcomed as part of the family. At the farm I got to help out with harvesting, watering and caring for the plants. I also got to borrow a saxophone AND a violin to practice and play music together which was so fun and super kind!!!! The food was amazing and they were also very considerate towards me as a vegetarian :) Thank you Peter, Kanchu, Sandeepa and Mahesh for your generosity and making my stay so wonderful.

I had an amazing experience volunteering here. It was a great opportunity to work alongside local people and learn new things. Peter and his team are friendly and welcoming, and they really go over and beyond to make sure you have a good time in Sri Lanka. I had a wonderful time here and I enjoyed every minute of it. I wouldn't have changed this experience for the world and I wish them the best of luck moving forward with the project :)

This is truly been the best decision I have made to come to the eco village, I couldn't of asked for a more welcoming, interesting, funny group of people, the host Peter is one of my favourite people I have met and makes everybody feel at home straight away. The eco site is beautiful, has the loveliest people working there, the cutest dogs I've EVER met, and is such a calm environment to learn so much about the culture here and the work we do on the farm, whilst having so much fun playing pool, cooking together and laughing more than I think I ever have. I wish I could stay here forever !!!

I enjoyed every minute of my time on the eco village with Peter, he was welcoming and inclusive from the get go and always positive and fun. Working down at the eco village was so rewarding and enjoyable. Peter and his team are helpful and fun keeping everyday interesting and more than enjoyable. Thankyou so much Peter for having us we will be back for sure, I Cant recommend this experience enough!

This experience was amazing and I would recommend to anybody who would like to meet people and spend time in nature as well. The eco village is a beautiful project that you can see coming alive and you can meet the kindest people who work on it every day. Perer is a very caring host who tries to help the volunteers in any need and is also curious about their views. I had the best time here. 😊

I had a truly beautiful experience volunteering at the eco village in Ahangama. The project itself is very meaningful, well thought out both socially and economically, bringing a real opportunity to the people in the village. The host, Peter, is absolutely the best! He took great care of us and made the whole experience feel authentic, enriching, and so enjoyable. I'm really grateful for the chance to be part of this project and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a rewarding volunteering opportunity.

Had the best time in Ahangama. Peter is the most selfless and funniest person I have ever met. The locals are so nice and the food was really good. We had a great balance of working on the farm and having fun. This was my first ever world packers and he really set my standards high!

Our experience at the eco village was so beautiful. Meeting and connecting with the locals, drinking lots of tea and watching the special vision they are holding for this land come to life were highlights for us. Everyone was very generous with us and we enjoyed the bits of gardening we did. We feel very lucky to have this special experience to look back on and carry forward. So much gratitude! Big recommend 🐾🌊🦋🌱
