I'm still at Ban Don Doi and writing my review and still loving it! The place is starting to feel like home away from home, the space is peaceful, tidy and beautiful! Staff are super sweet and the food is some of the best I've had in Thailand. The work is alot but it's fun and very doable, it gives you a unique experience of connecting with locals. Really going to miss the family I made here with the other volunteers, I'd definitely come back. I didn't like it....I loved it! ❤️

First off, I did not like, as my fellow teacher friend said, I looooooooooooooooooooooved it!!! Sincerely, the Team at Ban Bon Doi is truly amazing, I would like to thank Ping-pong, Fai, Gong, Em and all the workers there for their warm welcome and presence throughout my time there. But also all my teacher friends for being such amazing coworkers and friends :) If you are looking for a cool place, surrounded by nature, with tasty food and cute students, don't walk... Run!!! ❤️

Amazing volunteering, the place is beautiful, the food is delicious, everything is clear about the tasks and the students are lovely. Also, they organise activities, such as cooking classes, bamboo rafting, barbecue night. I didn't have any contact with Fai, but her husband, Ping Pong is super nice and participated with us in some activities. The best part were the other volunteers, we got along each other really well, even traveled together, the elephant park was incredible. Is important to know the place is 25 km from Chiang Mai (Mae Wang) and the mattress can be better, but that's all.

I didn't like this experience… I loooooooved it<3 The team was absolutely amazing, people there super nice, food out of this world🤩 We were working in the evenings and had a lot of time to explore nearby places. Ping Pong took us water rafting one day and we also learned how to cook pat thai. Ban Bon Doi (the place we were staying at) is pretty, tidy and peaceful. I would absolutely recommend this experience to anyone and I wish I could stay there forever ahahah On a scale from one to tem I'm giving them a hundred❤️❤️❤️

Me and my girlfriend had a great time volunteering here. We were greeted with such respect and given the most amazing variety of food! The work was hard but very fun and felt as though a great connection can be made during the calls with locals which was very nice. I had food poisoning during my stay and the host was great help and gave me lots of medicine and allowed me to have a day off lying in bed! I recommend this to all volunteers especially if you are looking for a peaceful breakaway!

I had such a lovely time staying at Ban Bon Doi🥰 Fai, Ping Pong, Kong, & the rest of the team were always so kind and supportive. We had a bbq night & they also organize bamboo rafting trips/ cooking classes. I had a great time teaching my students online! It was so special connecting with so many different people (kids & adults) We would play online games, do grammar lessons, & mostly have conversations to grow their English skills naturally :) You will have 5-6 classes a day & plenty of free time in the day to relax around the home stay & socialize. I highly recommend volunteering here!

The experience was so amazing and we wee so sad to leave, in the end the family was like our family who we still keep in touch with. It's a very lovely concept of creating a local iSchool so it involves teaching at home to a small group of kids but every other day we also went into schools to play English games etc. You get lots of free time and the work is not hard at all if you are good with children. A very good way to truly experience the culture as even the neighbours were welcoming and inviting us to dinner. Our highlight travelling so far!

Working at Ban Bon Doi was a very meaningful experience for me! I met lovely people, not only the other volunteers but also my students, often super cute Thai people who are happy just to talk to you:) The place is very chill, it's a perfect place to relax, do some yoga and enjoy their food. Definitely recommend it! The only little bad part was that I wasn't really welcomed and introduced to how things are working… but they'd answer kindly to every question!

My experience was very positive! The homestay is beautiful and peaceful. We did bamboo rafting and had cooking classes. The English classes are easy and the students very dear, the only downside is the concentrated schedule (which is good on the other hand because the rest of the day is more free). As for the discounts on drinks and food, I'm not sure if it was a communication error but we didn't get any. The meals they serve us are wonderful and the staff is very, very dear and I highly recommend the Ban Bon Doi homestay.
