Yevada English Fun ( VOLPRO 1 )

Hello future volunteers,

We are an English language institution located in Blitar, East Java, and we invite you to join us in a fun and interactive volunteer opportunity with children. Your role will be to assist and engage with them, practicing English through exciting and innovative teaching methods. Sometimes you will help us to promote attending to the school and join the event. You’ll create simulations and use traditional children's games to make learning enjoyable. Plus, you'll get to explore and appreciate the beautiful natural surroundings as part of this enriching experience. Come and make a difference while having an unforgettable adventure!

The program is led by Mr. Ali, who is directly responsible for our volunteers. With his fluent English and a competent team of mostly young professionals, our program ensures a dynamic and supportive learning environment. Additionally, we have a native speaker who occasionally assists with speaking practice, enriching the overall experience. We ensure that volunteers can make the most of their valuable time with us by providing easy access to these enriching experiences. Whether seeking tranquility in nature, immersing in local culture, or simply unwinding by the pool, there's something for everyone to enjoy near our location.

I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to this beautiful family who opened their home — and their hearts — to share the gift of language with so many children and young people. A place where learning English becomes an act of care, connection, and hope for the future.
Thank you for letting me be part of this meaningful work, for your warmth, and for the inspiring way you serve your community. Your generosity and dedication touched me deeply. I carry this experience in my he
art.

Hi, Sandra. Thanks for staying with us. I and my family were very happy. The students got much new experience from your teaching. It was too short you stayed in our school. The students hope you can come again one day. Thank you, Sandra.

Had an incredibly rewarding experience in Blitar with Ali, Farid, and Alfi, owner of Volpro volunteering organisation. I was welcomed like family and enjoyed a wide range of free local activities—cycling, temples, bat cave, markets—plus optional paid trips like the Bromo hike and turtle sanctuary. Be aware: rooms are basic (only 1/3 has a bed), food is ordered in, and the house is remote, so not ideal for solo exploring (but the family will always take you to places!). The students are lovely, but you need to bring your own teaching materials. The kindness and care made it unforgettable! <3

From the moment we arrived we were warmly welcomed and had everything at our disposal. We met wonderful people and we left them with a heavy heart. As it was Ramadan, we only taught 3 days out of the 3 weeks, which gave us a lot of free time. The only downside was that Ali’s house is not in the center of Blitar, which meant we were a bit far from all the attractions. Don't hesitate to rent a motorcycle, otherwise you'll be very dependent on people.

It was a very rewarding experience, both socially and personally and we hope to see everyone again :)

Hi, Sophia. Thanks for joining our study club. Thanks for meeting in our outdoor class. The most impressive was when we ate together with the students’ moms at a fish pond. All people were very happy. When will you come to Blitar again?

Upon our arrival in Blitar we were greeted by Mr. Ali and Farid with a welcome gift, we felt very welcome. Mr.Ali and everyone in the house treated us very well with food everyday and tips about what to do in our downtime. We arrived during Ramadan so the school activities were extremely limited so we didn't do much teaching, but instead we attended multiple gatherings with local people and we got to taste a whole bunch of local food. We used all the time we got with the children to try to get to know them and teach them. Thank you Mr.Ali, Farid, Okta, Alfi and everyone else! We will miss you.
