Carmen and I where very excited to know about their family and lands. Even the weather was not good enough, we tried to do some house work and we had a good time with Upeksha. She is always so kind and wants to know if you really feel like family.

There are a lot of positive things about this experience, but the one that i will remeber the most is the landcape. The Devon Fall was too much for me.

Thank you for your help. I will always consider you as a family.

I had an amazing time with Upeksha and her husband Anoj. They were incredibly kind, welcoming, and made me feel like part of the family. They took us on wonderful trips around the area and made sure we experienced real local life. We shared delicious Sri Lankan meals together, and every day was filled with warmth, care, and beautiful conversations. I truly felt at home, and I’m so grateful for their hospitality. Thank you for everything!

We stayed with Upeksha and Anoj and had an amazing time. They were incredibly kind and treated us like family.💛 We mostly just helped when they were doing something, like cooking. They showed us real Sri Lankan culture, took us on trips, cooked delicious meals, and always helped with travel plans. Their garden was full of fresh fruit and spices. We had a cozy room, and their pets were adorable. Life here is close to nature, and we loved it. Thank you so much for everything – Toddyland is a magical place we’ll never forget!💛

If you have the opportunity to volunteer here, I highly advise YES! Upeksha is the most welcoming and sweet hostess, and the family is absolutely lovely. Everyday we had the tastiest home-cooked meals and endless cups of tea. We’ve left Toddyland feeling well-rested and grateful for the stories and giggles shared. Even though we stayed during the ‘rainy’ season, we were able to explore the beautiful tea farms and hills everyday. The pictures don’t do the surrounding nature justice 🌱🩵 If you’re looking for some time to unwind and experience a more cultural exchange, then this is it!

Toddyland was an amazing experience! Upeksha is such a kind hearted and excitable person that made us feel right at home in her world. We were in toddy land in the rainy season so there was not much opportunity to pick tea but we lent a helping hand constructing a new bathroom for the house. Upeksha was a great host and insured that we always had an opportunity to do something or go somewhere in the layback and energy restoring environment. Getting to know Upeksha and being part of the daily life of the village was a great experience and I urge everyone to give it a try.
