Santiago Guesthouse Kyoto

Our place is near the famous Kiyomizu Temple. Nearby it there is a path called
Ninenzaka and Sannenzaka which will lead you to many temples in our area.
Easy access to bus stops and train station as well.
If you want to enjoy Kyoto, our place is the best starting point.

We are a guest house which open since 2013. So many guests coming every day so we need your to help to maintain cleanness in our guest house. We love to share time together with volunteers, such as hang out or small party in the hostel.

Had a really good time in Santiago ! The staff is really nice and welcoming, and the working hours are light. The guest house is also well located, and the other volunteers I met there were amazing ! The team occasionally organise parties with all of the staff, which is really nice to meet everyone.
I can only recommend !

I really enjoyed my stay at Santiago. I was initially surprised to be placed at Sign (their other guesthouse), but the accommodation was modern and in a great location. The staff were also really friendly - they let me borrow their bikes and even took all the volunteers out to dinner, which was a great way to meet everyone. The workload varied a bit over my stay but was never more than the three hours. Overall I’d definitely recommend this experience to anyone wanting to explore Kyoto!

I had an amazing time at Santiago!! I was welcomed with so much warmth and kindness, and the team here actively makes a huge effort to welcome their volunteers. There are lots of opportunities to socialize and become close to the people you work with. The location is very central, and we did not work for more than 2 or so hours a day. I enjoyed my time here immensely and I hope to visit again in the future when I come back to Kyoto!

I absolutely loved my volunteer time at Santiago Hostel Kyoto. From the very first moment, I was welcomed with so much warmth and kindness that it instantly felt like home. The people there weren’t just coworkers — they became friends I shared countless fun and unforgettable moments with. Honestly, it was one of the best experiences of my life.
I’d recommend it to anyone who wants to jump right in, meet amazing people, and experience Kyoto from a completely new and heartwarming perspective. Thank you Santiago Hostel!
